I stalked home with a breeze between my legs, irritated with my encounter at the lake. The audacity with which the man presented himself in front of a nude woman made me sick to my stomach. At the same time, I couldn't help but want additional opportunities to see him. I knew guys had different body parts than women, but I was anxious to see what they looked like when they were nude, and he had only given me half of his body to look at! From the warriors at home, it was a view that I had seen many times before. Not one of them had ever piqued my interest enough to make me want to see more, and the foreign sensation blazed within of me.
My interest was piqued by everything about Calian's character. I was interested in learning about the scar on his chest and what it was like to be labeled a traitor.
What prompted him to offer to assist me in getting out of the wedding, and how would he go about doing so?
As I approached the gravel road that led to our tiny village, I pushed the memories of him to the back of my mind and concentrated on getting home. I needed to put on a fresh pair of panties and come up with a creative method to explain why I was missing one pair. Having one pair of underwear missing would raise suspicion, and that was something I did not want to deal with. The expectation was that we would stay virgins until the night of our wedding, and if they suspected anything from me, they would have a healer examine me to make sure I was still intact. I knew from hearing about other girls' experiences that it was a difficult thing to go through.
I rounded the corner and came onto the road that would take me directly to my house. I caught a few people's eyes on me, and I felt a flood of remorse pour through my body. Their looks gave me the impression that they were aware of my uncleanliness, which led me to hasten my pace as a flush crept up my cheekbones.
My forehead smacked into the chest of someone since I was not paying attention to the road in front of me. Ahiga looked at me with a piercing gaze as I looked up.
“What has you in such a rush?” He quizzed me, placing his big hands on my shoulders to steady me.
His gaze brushed across the top of my damp hair.
“Just exercising with a fast walk.” I lied.
He reached up and grabbed a strand of my wet hair that had come loose from the braid. “Were you… swimming?”
“Don’t worry about it.”
When the chat became too long, I cut it short and tried to push by him, but I failed. As I attempted to get past him, he obstructed my progress once again.
“Where did you go swimming? Why is your hair wet but not your clothes?”
“Ahiga! I may be engaged to you, but we are yet to be wed. I do not answer to you!” I shouted.
Pain filled his eyes which turned to sorrow. “What will be your excuse tomorrow after we are?”
I lifted my chin in defiance. “I’ll tell you I’m my own being and that I answer to my Chief and only him.”
“Incorrect.” Anger flashed across his face. “You will be my wife and you will answer to me first.”
I dropped my jaw. “If you treat me that way, then expect a wife only in name.”
“Excuse me!?” He demanded.
Despite my shoving him, he refused to budge, but he saw the necessity for me to get away and side-stepped.
“How can I make you happy if you are so unwilling to try!?” He shouted to me as I rushed home.
I awoke to the sound of bells ringing in my ears. It was the day of the wedding, and the bells signaled that everyone should get ready. From the kitchen, I could hear my mother whistling a lullaby. I suppose there was one positive aspect of the day; my mother was content, and I couldn't have asked for anything more.Rather than getting dressed as I normally would, I slid out of my bed and pushed through my fur curtain, wrapping myself in the sheepskin robe. My mother was seated at the kitchen table, doing the last few alterations to my bridal gown. She had spent months stitching it together with tan fur and silks, and she was proud of the result. It looked stunning, and if there was one thing that could brighten my day, it would be showing it off to the whole town.“Oh! Honey! I was just about to wake you. Are you ready to try it on?” She asked, beaming with pride.“I have to put it on sooner or later, right?” I giggled.“Did
As everyone at the wedding scrambled to flee from the stifling smoke, chaos ensued around us. Others, likemy mother, who were in command of their magic were able to clear the billows around them, allowing them to breathe from a bubble of fresh air.I gathered my thoughts in the way I had been instructed and concentrated on building my own oxygen cage. As the oxygen returned to my brain, I looked around the audience, initially searchingfor my family. My mother had managed to wrangle the Chief away from the throngs of people and was now attempting to assist those around her with their own bubbles of cleared air. Those who were unable to concentrate had fallen to the ground as the smoke climbed above their heads.Immediately next tome, Ahiga was resting on his stomach, struggling for air. As a result of the spiritual man's dismissal, the wedding came to an end. Having realized that I would not be getting married on this particular day, I felt a surge of
After the unsuccessful wedding, duties returned to normal the next day. My mother and I worked together to manufacture new clothing for the tribe, as well as fulfilling requests from tribes all around the nation. When it came to sewing, our women were the finest in Nakinata. Considering our country's geographical location in the southeast hemisphere of Aerithia (our planet), we have seen milder weather conditions.Everything, from farming to construction, was less complicated for us. We were fortunate in that we were not affected by the cold. Because we were always working, we were not equipped to withstand colder conditions. Some of them from the North were familiar to me; they were covered in thick skin. When their clothing orders arrived, it was usually more difficult to fulfill them since they required more fabrics to accommodate their physique and heavier furs."My dear, we will need to decide the next possible day for your betrothal."
Ahiga climbed on top of me, his nude body covering mine. I tried all I could to get out from beneath him, but I couldn't. Screaming was futile at this point since the blanket was wedged between my jaws. I sneered at him as he began to fiddle with the leather tie that was holding my dress in place over my chest. “That’s a good girl.” He purred as the tie came loose. He yanked the remainder of it out of the sewn-in loops and tossed it on the bed next to where we were lying. His hand slowly caressed the top of my dress, lightly brushing against my breasts as he did so. As the intensity of my squirming beneath him intensified, a snicker could be heard from his lips. His grin had lost its sense of humor ashe yanked my dress down, enabling my breasts to bounce outfreely. “You are so beautiful.” He said. He grabbedone of my boobs with his free hand and began massaging it vigorously
Thank you for reading so far!!! Super excited to finish this story sometime soon! I picked up another job and I've been super busy. I am working on a chapter today and will publish it right after it is done! I've thought about how to write it for 2 weeks! :D Now just to get the time to finish it without interruption! Please don't be afraid to comment or review! Your interactions are what keep me writing! I enjoy the motivation in knowing I'm not just a book added in your library that's never touched! :p Love you all! Also, prayers to all those that are fighting in the war and to the civilians who are in the middle of it!
I hissed under my breath and rolled my eyes. “Listen, other than before, I have a perfectly valid reason for this.” “I’m sure you do. Let’s hear it.” He suggested with a raised eyebrow. I shook my head. “No. That’s none of your business.” Who does this man think he is? Why would I divulge any information about my personal life to him? He may be gorgeous, but that does not imply that I will drool over him and spill about how awful my life is. I’ve always wanted to whack the women in the village for acting in such a disrespectful manner toward other men. Never before in my life have I been able to comprehend why a woman would display frailty in order to attract a man. The whole “poor me” thing is a relic of the past and out of date. He stepped forward, drawing me from my thoughts. “I’m making it my business.” Reaching out a hand, he slid his fingers along the back of mine that was still holding up my dress. The peach fuzz on my arm rose as shive
The heat of Ahiga's rage shuddered through my bones as I huddled against Calian's back. Fear was not something I was accustomed to experiencing. Fighting back was ingrained in my bones, and I refused to allow myself to be manipulated or bullied by him. I was concerned by his anger directed at the man who was defending me, but I couldn't put my finger on why. What was it about this stranger's safety that I was so concerned about? I felt Calian lift his arms up and shrug. "Even if I knew where she was, what makes you think I'd tell you?" "She is my betrothed which makes her MINE." Ahiga shouted. I could hear the annoyance starting to boil over in my "fiance". Calian shook his head. "No, no she isn't. Even if she were to marry you, she is still her own person. You do not own her. Kiera is allowed to make her own choices." "Since when are you on a first name basis with her!?" I heard Ahiga sneer. When the man in front of me folded hi
Hey! Sorry I didn't upload the past TWO weeks... I know... I'm a bad girl. :'( I had to plan our week-long vacation for my kid's birthday vacation. We went and played in snow for the first time! We live in the Sunshine State so snow is a Legendary Rarity. LOL BUT I am back now, and got laid off from my main job since no one wants to refinance homes during this economical downfall. It's a Seller's Market where I live right now. Yippee! Goodbye high paying job! My plan is to focus on writing more, and hopefully finish this book within the month of April, but I NEED YOU to push me. Comment and leave reviews! Don't be afraid to interact with me! I love it! My wishes are also out to everyone in the Ukraine! Please stay safe and stand your ground! Fight for your freedom! You all deserve it but you don't deserve to have to fight for it. XOXO - KittyKitKat
