Seventy Eight – Mission Accomplished

While he was snarling in pain while digging out the bullet, he could hear the gunshots and screaming of orders and pain slow down.  He was grateful that they had had the backup eventually; otherwise this would have been a much longer fight.  He wasn’t sure what had convinced them to come or how they knew where they were, but he didn’t really care at this very moment.

He left the wound once he’d dug out the poisonous bullet, breathing a sigh of relief.  He would still need treatment, but the sooner the poison is taken out the faster his recovery would be.  He did not expect his father to suddenly appear at his side and check on him, while he took up the gun the informant had given him.

That was when he took a second look at the pistol and he smirked.  He knew who the informant was now.  But he would not give his secret away; there was a reason
