Chapter 3

"Ha ha!" Matthew slammed the table laughing his ass out after Alex told him of last night's incident. "Nigga why do fuck would you leave a stranger in your living room?"

"I didn't know it would result to that, I just went to have a shower, and she was really hot." Alex grumbled.

"Oh, cause she's hot? My girlfriend is hot and even I don't trust her with my credit card. You're just lucky she only took your bike," Matthew said looking up from his computer.

"Oh, I don't care much about the bike, it's old and I think it's high time I got a car."

"Finally, I'd say she did you a favour, when are you getting one?"

"Soon, I would get one, just after I have gotten my driver's license."

Matthew raised an eyebrow not believing his ears. "Your driver's license? You don't have a driver's license? How old are you again?"

"Twenty seven, why do you ask?"

"Oh, no reason, no reason at all. Well, what else did the 'hot' Chuck's take?" Matthew asked.

"My grandma's necklace, it's been in my family for ages you know? My mum was met to give it to her daughter, but since she had only me, I was meant to give it to my wife, but that's gone now."

"Sorry dude, but who knows, you might run into her, this is a really small town, you never know you might bump into again."

"Yeah, who kno-"

"Matthew! Alex!" Ross shouted through the mic which had speakers connected to every employee's desk. "Less talking, more designing!"

"How the fuck is he even seeing us?" Matthew questioned.

"Matthew!"

"Sorry!"

"You guys didn't have to come with me," Alex said.

"Nonsense, this is your first date in many years and you're not going looking like a ducky wucky," Stacey said going through hangers as Alex and Matthew stood by the side

"What's a ducky wucky?" Alex asked  Matthew, who just shrugged. "Stacey I can put pick my own clothes you know, I have fashion sense."

"Judging by what you currently have on, I don't think so," Stacey said.

"What's wrong with what I have on?" Alex wondered, looking down at his clothes.

"It's lacks fashion sense." Matthew filled in for Stacey, while she nodded in agreement making Alex sigh.

"Now go try this on, after that, we are getting you a new hairdo-"

"What's wrong with my hair? I like it long and-"

"Alex, just let Stacey fix you."

"Why are you taking in the third person."

"Stacey doesn't know."

"You did it again, stop it."

"Fine, just go test this out."

"Ok." He collected the dress from her and walked to the dressing room. As soon as the door was shut behind him, he started stripping. Starting from his shirt, then to his jeans. He picked up the jeans Stacey had chosen for him, eyeing it for a second, then proceeding to sniff it before trying it on. After both legs were in, the kangaroo jump began as he struggled to bring it up to his waist.

"Alex is everything ok in there?" Matthew asked after the many thumps and groans coming from the room.

"Yeah, everything is going well," He said, while squeezing his buttcheeks really tight. He stopped the struggle, huffing and puffing. If only girls knew boys too struggled to look good for them, Alex thought.

He jumped again, missing his steps, he fell to the floor. "Fuck!"

"Alex do you need Matthew to come in and help you?" Stacey asked.

"No, I've got it!"

"It doesn't sound like you do," Stacey muttered. "Matthew go help him."

"I should have just gone home," Matthew grumbled walking towards the door. Stacey watched him walk away, he knocked a the door, then walked in.

"Ouch... Stay one place Alex!"

"You stay one place!"

"Turn this direction."

"That direction would never work."

"Just turn."

"No."

"Turn!"

"No!"

"Guys, do you need me to come in there?"

"No!" They both shouted.

Minutes later a stressed looking Matthew came out. "I am never doing that again." Alex stepped out afterwards.

"So?" He asked.

"Stacey likey!" Stacey cheered and gave a big whooping noise. "Ok, go change, we'll pay for this and be on our way to the hair salon."

"Ok!"

Hours later, Alex got back home, looking really tired and stressed, after the hairdo, Stacey had taken him shoe shopping, then they had gone to get new perfumes.

"Wow Jojo I never expected to be this nervous," Alex said standing in front of the mirror "I have been looking forward to this day, but now..." He turned around facing Jojo. "What if she doesn't like what she sees, but then because she's nice and all she acts like she does like what she sees, but then she is horrible at acting, so I get the point that she's trying not to hurt my feelings and all she holds for me now is pity." Jojo whoofed. "Lord Jojo, times like this I wish you weren't a dog." Jojo raised a leg up and delivered a small fart, then walked out of the room. "That's disgusting Jojo."

"Ok," He turned around looking straight at himself. "Alex, you need to remember she was also in search, I mean, if she wasn't she wouldn't be found in a dating app. She is probably just as nervous as you are and is probably giving this lame speech to herself. Don't ask stupid question, don't suggest stupid games, keep cringey Alex in and bring out cool Alex." He froze, staring into space.

"What if there is no cool Alex?" He asked himself.

"Then you create one stupid, you better create one now or else Amanda is gonna dump your sorry ass before you even get to ask her out. Also, please push cringey Alex deep down, don't bring him out, lock him in a room forver and even when you die and go to hell, never bring him out, understood?"

"Understood!" Alex smiled straightening himself. "I can do this, God, I am going to be so good, she will tremble before me."

He walked downstairs, "Jojo Mrs Beckett would be here soon ok?" He got no reply. "Uh... Ok, love you too."

He and Amanda had agreed to meet at the restaurant, that was the best option as first time meeting. He would have borrowed Matthew's car to look cool, but since he didn't have a driver's license yet, a cab would be much better.

He arrived minutes later with really shaky palms, shaky wet palms. "Why is my hand shaking, why are they shaking?"

"I don't know sir, but you owe me five dollars." The cab man informed in.

"Oh, right." He brought the money out his wallet. "Here, thanks for the smooth ride." He got out of the cab.

"Good luck sir, you will need it." He said just before driving away. Alex gulped and proceeded forward, while muttering words of encouragement to himself.

Minutes later Alex sat alone on the table, he had just texted Amanda he was already here and she had texted she was on her way.

'Hey, I just have to say I am really nervous, so I might say weird shitty things'

He sent the text, biting his nails as he stared at the screen, wondering if a reply would come in. A beep came in seconds later.

'Lol, then we will both be saying weird shitty things together then ;-)'

Alex smiled, saying a small thanks to God. "Could any woman be more perfect for me," He muttered.

Minutes later, she texted him that she had arrived. Alex heart jumped immediately he read the text. "Fuck, this is the moment, this is really the moment, don't freak out, be cool Alex, be cool." He sent a smiley face. Soon, he heard footsteps behind him and a lady came into view taking the sit in front of him.

Alex eyes widened in shock. "Chipmunk!"

"Fuck."

Alex couldn't believe who he was seeing at the moment. Here, right in front of him was the same blue eyed girl he had run into last night, the same one who he had kindly invited in, the same one who stole his bike and necklace, the same one who was now putting on that necklace.

"Oh God, have you been stalking me?" She asked.

Alex blinked twice, he couldn't believe what he had just heard. "A-Am I stalking you? Uh... Wait a minute, you were the one who sent me a friend request, you ran into me, you suggested this restaurant, and I-I am the one stalking you?"

She kept quiet and looked away.

"Oh please, say something now, you weren't quiet last night."

"Fine, I'm sorry, what else do you want me to say?" She muttered.

"What else do you want me to say? No, I don't want you to say anything, I would like for you to give me back what you stole, starting with that necklace around your neck."

"Fine." She brushed her hair to side and was just about to remove the necklace from neck when she was distracted by a loud noise. A gun had just been fired in the restaurant making everyone scream and go down on their knees, hands which would actually offer no protection over there head. "The fuck!"

"Amanda Walters!" The man who had fired the question shouted, staring straight at Amanda who was kneeling beside Alex on the floor.

"Uh... Hi?" Amanda answered unsure.

"You and your accomplice stand up, and come with us, so we don't disturb this nice people having their meals."

"Uhmm, is he referring to me? A-Am I the accomplice?" Alex spoke to no one in particular.

"Don't ask me, ask him," Amanda replied. She knew she hadn't stolen from anyone big lately, so the fact that men loaded with gun wanted her attention was shocking.
