CHAPTER 36~ A PIECE OF MEAT

Verya sat by a tree in a completely unknown forest, feasting on the meat Jake had hunted. She didn’t know why her arch enemy was helping her and why he had become like a dog at her beck and call, but she didn’t have anybody else to turn to right now. She wasn’t particularly grateful, but his efforts weren’t particularly unappreciated either.

“Aron and Ethan have been trailing us for a while now…”

Verya nodded. “I know, Aron will always be annoying…I would kill him, but I can’t in this state.”

Jake shook his head. “Never mind, forget what I said.” He took a bite out of the meat he had in hand. “Should I leave them food?”

“No, we should only cater for Ethan…Aron is not a member of our pack…”
