Stupid! Stupid! Stupid!

I don’t know how many times I’ve cursed myself for the foolishness I displayed earlier. I don’t know where I found the courage to say all of those things to him. I know I offended Hugo with the words I said, so I can’t help but scold myself for what came out of my mouth.

“You okay?” I was slightly jolted from leaning on the glass railings here at the pool deck when someone suddenly spoke behind me.

When I turned around, Dominic was standing not far from where I was. He had a double rock glass with alcohol in it.

“Sir Dominic,” I straightened up and faced him.

“Cut the sir, Nala. You can call me Dominic or Domi. Anything that makes you comfortable.”

I smiled. “Alright, Domi it is, so I don’t waste my saliva,” I said and chuckled lightly. He laughed at that too.

“It’s up to you. I don’t mind.” He took a sip of alcohol from the glass he was holding.

“So what are you doing here? Are you also here to have some fresh air?”

“Yep.”
