“I'm sorry,I really didn't mean to barge into your room like that.” I rapped, my eyes to the ground as I feared the worst.

When he still didn't give a response, I raised my head slowly, “Your friend is in the living room.” I muttered.

Cleaning my eyes with both hands, I was shocked to see the room was empty and there was no sign of life in it.

“But…” Gulping, I left his room and then returned to the living room to join Maurice.

On my return, I met him scrolling through his phone with his legs crossed. Clearing my throat to get his attention, I walked up to him and with my hands folded across my chest, I said, “I’m sorry for keeping you waiting. I forgot that he left so early this morning.”

“Early? Where did he go then? I have been to the office and he is nowhere to be found. Do you have any idea?” He asked, staring at me.

“I don't. Why don't you try calling him?” I suggested and he gave me a thumbs up.
