Dahlia POV.

Walking out of the packhouse, I ignore the growls of the wolves in front of me as I look at Alpha Rodrick. He looks like shit. But I know his wolf is anything but weak.

“Well, it would seem you are here a day early. I would say it was nice to see you again, Alpha Rodrick, but that would be a lie.” I say, and he chuckles as he moves close to me. But I hold my ground, looking at him.

“Well, we thought we would come earlier to make sure you were ready.” He says when I look from him to the battalion he has assembled behind him.

“Oh, it looks like you are here for more than a simple Alpha ceremony. It looks like you are here for war. Especially with all the wolves you have brought with you. Or am I wrong?” I ask with a smirk on my lips, but deep down, I’m not willing to fight.

“Alpha Dahlia. We don’t mean for it to look like we are here for war.” I look from Alpha Rodrick to Elisa as she clings to Malachi.
