Chapter 10

The waves, the beautiful, calming waves. Their resonance, slow rolling and crashing, and white caps cresting over and plunging back into the water fully display the beauty and majesty of creation from the shoreline. Larry is standing on the bridge, looking down, and the cars passing by are hooting.

“Get off the bridge; your an idiot.” Larry looks back; “I will miss nothing about this world.”

Spreading out his arms, he’s about to lean forward; when someone pulls him back, he falls backward. “Are you so weak that the first sign of trouble you decide to end your life?” This is a familiar voice; it's deep. Looking up is the bright sun, and he sees a tall, dark figure standing over him.

Holding his hand in front of his eyes to block out the sun, he sees a hand; as he reaches out to the hand, it pulls him up like a feather.

“This is Lucifer, Lucifer Morningstar he repeats in his head.”

“I knew you would come for me, just not this soon.”
