We didn't utter a word, just remained looking at each other.
"I'll give you two some privacy. Alexis," In my peripheral vision I could see his body turning fully to mine yet I couldn't seem to tear my eyes off Isaiah to fully concentrate on him. "Your vitals look good. And we've deliberated you're ready. They'll call you soon, any moment from now. Just don't fall asleep, we need you fully alert. And Alexis, good luck.
