22. Reasonable Excuses

Tallulah's POV

“I… I was just undressing.” I answered, motioning to the open box behind me.

Her gaze fell to the gown at the foot of my bed, bestowing me with the realization that I had changed into that gown for dinner, an hour ago. Why was I changing again?

“I was about to take my bath, before changing into my pajamas.” I explained.

She rolled her eyes before nodding.

“Bummer...” She said with a disappointed look.

“There's something I wanted to show you, but I'll just come back when you're done.”

She was about to walk away when I stopped her.

“It's alright. I can wait a bit before I take a bath. I'm not in a hurry.” I said.

She followed behind me as I walked to where the gown lay, picking it up. To be honest, I was a bit curious to hear what she had to say.

“So, what's up?” I asked, wearing the gown.

She made herself comfortable, jumping into the bed before pulling out her phone.

“First of all, look at this picture.” She said, handing me a small hard photo.
