**POV Eleanor**

"How is she, doctor?" Alpha Gideon asked anxiously beside me, watching as I was examined by the medical team.

"It's hard to explain, but she's not responding to any stimuli. I think she's blind," the doctor said, turning off the flashlight and noting information in my chart.

A tear rolled down my face, and I immediately thought of my mother, who was born blind and despised by everyone for her disability. She was lucky my father loved her and didn't reject her as his mate. However, I was in the royal harem, where things were very different. I feared what King Alpha would do to me.

"But is the blindness temporary?" King Alpha asked suspiciously, struggling to believe that I really couldn't see.
