Chapter 8

The ding of the microwave brought my nose back up and out of my books that were splattered everywhere in the living room. My rice and curry were ready! Taking my nose out of the book I was reading, I lowered my legs from the chair bringing them to the warmth of my slippers as I made a beeline to the kitchen, where the end to my day’s hunger was awaiting me. The only sound that could be heard in the house being that of the pit patters of my slippers, and well the biological mechanisms of my inhalation and exhalation process.

I was all alone in the house. I have been alone for a week now. The only traces of Mr Evans the creep being the dirty dishes I found in the sink, a week ago!
