I huffed out a sigh in relief when I saw that Christian was not coming after us. The look in his eyes had terrified me to death. I knew he was planning on killing me bit by bit. But I hoped my instinctive action had worked and pushed him away from me towards someone else who was ready to become his mate. I was not ready. I did not want to be his mate.
