Gabriel (POV)

I meant every word. She is my mate. I will wait for her however long it takes. Since she hit her head during the crash after the kidnapping. She believes the dragon she saw was all in her head, that she had imagined it all. Of course, one day when the trust is built up between us, I will need to clarify the fact she had indeed seen a dragon and that it was me. I will need to tell her about my brothers and me and how we have come from a dying world to begin a new life to save our species. But now is not the time.

I ate all the meat which I appreciated her cooking with seasonings, but how could I tell her I usually eat meat raw? She would think it strange. The only time I ate cooked meat was at business luncheons or dinners out. At home it is usually raw. Until I can let her know the truth, I will have to get used to the meat being cooked.

I helped her clear the dishes and clean things up even though she kept insisting she could do it. We took our drinks into the living ro
