Richard did Isabella's parents the honour of filling them in with every information they needed.

From the side, Mrs. Smith heaved a sigh. "I really wish that she could wake up and see us," she said with a longing look as she gently caressed the side of Isabella's face that wasn't covered in bandages.

Currently, she was sitting next to her daughter on the bed.

Seeing that gesture, Isla wanted to go over. "Mummy," she called out, arms stretching towards her mother's bed. Richard had to walk over and pass her to her grandmother.
