Her heart was racing in her chest, “No...” her voice was barely audible.

“Scarlett, I’m giving you the time to tell me what it is you’re keeping from me...” his tone was growing impatient.

“Cameron, I don’t under...”

“Don’t act coy with me, Scarlett,” he cut in, his grey eyes bore into hers, “You and I know, you’re not innocent,” he said through gritted teeth.

Her cheeks burned bright red in embarrassment; she knew exactly what he was talking about. He was referring to the night in Paris, the night where she was sad, pumped full with more than her usual amount of alcohol, and ready to make wrong decisions. She had been anything but innocent that night. She didn’t know how much he knew, but she was willing to play the long game, for as long as she could.
