Detective Inspector Smith mumbled as he walked out of the forensic lab, feet scratching the tiled floor as he went.
It was a dark corridor; full of twisted low ceilinged rooms, as he passed he noticed a potent smell of bleach rush up his nostrils. Harper, who had rushed ahead, stopped and watched him approach. At the entrance of the forensic building stood a figure, Smith taking an instant dislike observed that the man was about six foot two, dark hair and eyes, pale features, and wore the most unusual clothing.
The boy looked no more then twenty, but had an aura about him that reflected confidence and boldness. As he stared at Smith the boy reluctantly took a step forward, bowed in an old fashion way then he straightened up and extended his hand. Smith not expecting such a gesture, especially from a ‘British teenager’, shook his hand tightly then released it. The boy did not seem to even flinch at the strengt

Summer could feel her knees buckle as if she was about to freefall into an endless abyss.I have no parents . Those words swirled in her mind like a whirpoolThe banshee was staring at her contently, a soft melody was escaping from her lips.Lucien was transfixed by her, but he had not given up his guard. Summer could still feel the heat from his body against hers."I want to know what you get out of this. Why the pretense" Summer finally asked"There was a time when i felt rather sorry for you" The banshee stated."Why?""It must be so tiresome being you... your father... well not your real father but you get what i mean" She flashed a smile and winkedSummer stiffened in repulsion"Your father wants to break the cycle" she said finallyShe turned to Lucien whose eyes widened"Break the cycle, as in ... no more"The banshee wailed
It felt like they had been running for hours until Summer's legs finally started to give out due to exhaustion. Lucien stood over her in a protective stance as she struggled to regain her breath "Hattie and Jake are vampires..." She muttered inbetween breaths "Who are they?" Lucien asked whilst scanning the area around them "My... friends... the ones in from the mill" Lucien nodded "The one who gave you up" he said flatly Summer bought her head down to her knees and hugged herself tightly into a ball. A slight breeze sweeped around them which ignited the trees around them to move in a silent embrace. "You said that before" "What did i say?" Lucien asked moving closer towards her "You mentioned about Jake ... that he planned it" Lucien knelt beside her and gently moved a stranded blond piece of hair away from her eyes and twirled it around her ear.&n
Jake knew that he was in trouble. The sweat beaded on his forehead as nerves wrecked his sensesHe glanced quickly at his sister who was sitting motionless. The fear on her face was evident. In a sudden response, all of the hairs on the back of his neck stood up. He knew who was coming and it made him feel sick.Andrei floated into Summer's living room. His grey pinstriped suit clung to him as he sat opposite them. His eyes were blood red and his wavy jet black hair cascaded across his face.In a fluent movement, he undid the button on his suit jacket to reveal a crisp white shirt. His legs crossed as he pondered in deep thought. The house was in chaos. Vampires were walking in and out, lifting furniture, throwing and crasing objects in search of something.A female vampire dressed in a red dress and black patent heels rushed to Andrei. She bent down to whisper in his ear.
The woman jerked as a gigantic needle plunged into her arm. The dark hooded man watched as the dark liquid filled the syringe. He tapped the woman on the shoulder in gratitude and placed the blood into four different glass test tubes, then turning to the dark brick wall he smiled. As he replaced the gun with a new syringe he shuffled back to the wall and looked up. Hanging there silently was a boy, tied with red rope on his hands and feet. As the syringe sank into the boy’s leg, a tortured groan escaped his half shut mouth. Again as if repeating the process, he returned back to the test tubes and poured the dark liquid on top of the freshly taken blood. Picking up a substance from a black jar he mixed all three together, and then carefully placed the test tubes in a centrifuge. Slotting them in slowly he shut the lid, flicked the yellow switch and watched as it hummed into action, rotating quicker and quicker. As he wai
Kaci Mason eagerly climbed the small hill that ascended towards Harley Street. The overcast sky started to spit raindrops as she pulled her umbrella out of his brief-case and pushed the metal clasp to release the fabric above her head.No rain will touch this Armani suitAs she walked hesitantly towards Regents Park her thoughts wondered to the secretive blind date that was set up by her friends. She knew she had to go with the Gucci suit, its crisp blue linings set against velvety back was a sure winner. She checked her gold Omega watch, 8:10pm; it had most definitely been a long day. Kaci often thought about retiring from the medical profession, she had now been a doctor for thirty years and felt it was time to retire and move out of London, maybe go to those beautiful rural cottages In Cornwall. Her two older daughters wouldn’t mind, they had families of their own. She felt lonelier then ever after her husband, Paul

Time seemed to stand stillAll Jake could do was watch as the manifestation that had taken shape around her fizzled out. Reality swamped back, sound came like a tidal wave attacking his ears, his vision that was once blurred, now sharpened and remained focused on the carnage that continued to surround him. As his eyes turned to Summer, he realized with immense embarrassment that she was staring awkwardly back at him with a slow startling realisation that it was him. Not quite sure what to do, Jake remained still, the feeling of guilt and sadness swept over him. He had got her into this mess. He had betrayed and abandoned her. Again.Tears filled her eyes as her lip quivered in total devastation. She slowly made her way towards him, slithering through the crowd. She had grown in confidence and looked incredibly beautiful in a haunting kind of way, he thought. She stopped suddenly, only feet away from him.“
