At the end of that day, when she finally found herself alone in her apartment, Alexis leaned back against the closed door and let out all the agony she had had to hold back all that long day.

She wished she could scream, but she just let the tears roll down her cheeks.

In a rush of rage, he undressed, throwing the pieces in the distance.

When she told Norah what had happened, her friend was outraged. He had said that if he had gone with her, he would have said good words to the Cobra! But then she soothed Alexis by saying that the other's opinion of her shouldn't matter to her. Only she knew about herself and reminded her that Shepherd's plan not to draw Ethan's attention to another woman had failed. It was no mystery to them that the man was head over heels for Alexis, regardless of what kind of clothes he was wearing.

This even cheered her up a bit, and she laughed along with her friend.

But now, alone, she felt like crap! That damn cow had hurt her deeply. Norah had been willing to
