Safe II

Brooklyn's POV:

Although I had arrived at the Cancer pack, I was now lying in my room. Everyday, people came to change the dressings for my wounds, and I was well cared for.

But every night I still dream of Hale strangling my neck, spitting horrible words to me, "You'll never get rid of me!" and I ended up waking up sweating, alone in the room full of desolation.

I thought it would take me a long time to heal the hurt of this relationship.

Maybe a lifetime.

Everyone was worried about me, and they took turns coming to my room every day to accompany me. Cathy and Moore often came to me, telling me some interesting things in the Pack, but not soon after, they started bickering, and finally stopped by Abbey.

Margaret would talk about things on her side, such as my half-brother, who was too much like his father, so silent and steady as a 16-year-old boy. She sometimes worried that the child might had autism.
