25|First Appointment

The man triumphantly smiled as he looked at Otis. He crossed his arms over his chest and sat back. The man sitting opposite him looked at us in confusion.

I couldn't see my superior's expression because I stood behind him. But I was sure he could handle himself well. This man never showed his emotions whenever faced with a problem. Even when yelled at by his family, he didn't retaliate with anger.

“Please forgive us. We entered the wrong room,” Otis explained politely. We looked at him in confusion. “Please continue your conversation. Excuse us.”

I turned to Bruce. His face was deathly pale as if he had just seen a ghost. We didn't have the wrong room. I looked back at the arrogant man. What an ignorant man. He must have done this on purpose to embarrass Otis. Did everyone in this world have to be his enemy?

The cheating man straightened his seat when he saw me. Focused on mocking Otis with his gaze, he didn't notice I was in the group. But I ignored him and obeyed my superior's orders
