The door of her room creaks open just a bit slightly, and through that small crack, Itzel pokes her head out as if peeking around her discreetly. After making sure that no one is around at this moment, she takes a step out and tiptoes towards the staircase. When she finally reaches downstairs, she again hides herself behind a thick pillar and looks for the presence of anyone but finds none, which is kind of weird! She knows that her parents and brother would not be a problem since her father and brother are not home yet and her mother is maybe fast asleep, taking her beauty nap. It is only four forty in the evening. But other than them, not a single servant or maid is here right now, which is quite unusual. And not even that nosy and irritating butler, Mr. Taylor is here! For that, she can be thankful though! Not giving much thought it much, she dashes towards and out of the main door. But what she fails to take notice of is that her nosy Mr. butler, Dmitri, is keeping a hawk eye on her since the time she has had that conversation over the phone with God knows who!
As soon as she takes her steps out of the mansion, Dmitri also comes out of the shade where he was hiding while observing her moves from the moment she has come down. He is having a feeling, an ill one to that right now. And it would not be settled down till he knows what is she up to! When she goes and sits in the car, he also follows her up and watch her as she pulls off from the driveway. With much urgency and adrenaline running his veins at this moment, he runs after her with all his might without getting caught in action by Itzel at the same, and soon hails a taxi and tells the driver to follow up behind that space grey sedan which Itzel is driving right now. After nearly some half an hour of driving and chasing, Itzel pulls up her car infront of a skyscraper building which has the tag of a well known business corporation above it, and comes out of the car before casually strolling inside, and Dmitri can't help but think as to why she is here. Is she here to meet someone? Is she really seeing someone? And maybe that someone works here, or worse, he is the boss here? Dmitri would be no match infront of such someone then! Even if he has a lot of money by which he can keep Itzel happy, but then again, the kind of work which he is involved in, is dangerous for him as well as would be for Itzel too!So, is it not better that if she is with someone who is rich and not a dangerous man, unlike Dmitri? Itzel would be happy living with him. And moreover, he knows that he does not deserve her! He never did! With a bitter taste in his mouth, he tells the taxi driver to take a u turn. He has no right to spy on her when she is happy with someone else. But what if that man is good for her? What if he is just using her? No, he would never let that happen! Again. He has hurt once but he can't her getting hurt again, and not at all where she will be used by some fucking prick out there! And for that, he has to find out who is she seeing right now. He would have to spy on her even if he does not think it feels any right! With that, he again urges the taxi driver to take him back there. Dmitri would do anything in his power to keep Itzel safe and sound!Itzel peeks from the porch where she is standing or rather hiding in the building. 'This' is not her destination at all. She has somewhere else to be right now but she has to pull up infront of this building because their damn butler is following her all the way! Itzel has no idea what that man's problem is! Why can't he just leave her alone and in peace for once? It is not even a day since she was introduced to him and here he is, following her around like he is her damned bodyguard...Pursing her lips, Itzel runs her eyes everywhere around and finds the taxi which was following her tail, is now pulling off away from the building where she is in. Releasing a relieved sigh, she comes out after making sure that the taxi is far gone out of her sight, and hops into her sedan before putting the ignition on and driving away towards her actual destination. Her head is still swirling around confusion as to why their butler, Mr. Taylor, would need to follow her? Does it have something to do with her parents? Have they set him up to be her secret bodyguard or something, and then he would report to them about what all she does all the day? Oh, no! This can't be! If it is just how she thinks it is, then her not so little secret is going to come out infront of them and all! And she absolutely can't afford that to happen. She needs to do something to get that Mr. butler off of her. Or else, he would be a constant pain in her ass! When Dmitri comes back to the building, he can't spot that familiar space grey sedan anywhere in sight anymore. What? Has Itzel left already? Is it not that girls like to spend as much time with their boyfriends as they can? So, how come she has already left when it is not even a proper five minutes from when he was gone? An unknown yet convincing feeling comes across his heart. Can it be that she is not with anyone? It can be just that she has come here for some other and then must have left right after? But then why was she sneaking out like that from their mansion earlier? Feeling a building headache, he rubs his forehead with his fingers. He looks at the driver and tells him to take him back on the same on which they had come. "What is it, mister? Are you not sure of where you have to go? You just keep me going back and forth!" The driver finally complains. Narrowing his eyes, Dmitri glares at the driver with vexation clear in his gaze."And for that I am going to pay you, is it not?" He asks him and that shuts his mouth after on and he drives him back off on the same road. Dmitri knows that he is being rude and that it was his fault to keep him moving back and forth but he is also trying to figure out get his shit together! They should cut him some slack as well! With a sigh, Dmitri mutters a quiet sorry to the driver which he could not even hear. Ruci Dmitri and his inflated ego!......Pulling up her sedan, Itzel comes out and goes into a cabin which is quite small and rusty. She goes further in and soon finds a few men standing in there. One of them spots her first and greets her. "Oh, there she is! Welcome back, Itsi!" That same nickname which causes her to cringe. Muttering a low 'hello' in return, she stands with all of them and sees that they have started with the planning and plotting already. Uh, oh! She is late! "Why are you late?" Uh, she is late just by a few minutes! Should not be a big deal!"Um..actually I got caught up in some matter." She tells him casually, not wanting to tell them about the whole deal with their new butler and all."What matter is it?" But as the nosy and consistent man he is, he decides to press on it more. She sends him a glare but he does not look at all fazed by that."Damon, can we not waste any more time by discussing my personal life here and get on the plan for tonight already?" Itzel asks as she kisses her teeth in annoyance. Damon, the man who has called her earlier on, laughs at her expression before nodding his head in agreement and going back to explain the whole plan to his team. After being done with discussing their plan in some more than one hour, they are now set out to execute the said plan. Itzel is well aware that this time she will be needed here for till at least nine in the evening. She can now just wish that her mother does not even bother to call her down to have dinner with them. Or else, she might fret about where she has gone without telling anyone there in the mansion. Normally when she is with these men, doing her job, she does not have to come up with any excuses or even freak out about them fretting over her because she just lets her mother know that she would be with Damon after she is done with her classes at college. So, she wishes that her mother would just think that she is with Damon, which she is actually. But the problem is that she has not brought her phone with her since she can't afford to get tracked now, can she?-----Pacing back and forth in the hall, Dmitri has his eyes trained on the alleyway leading to the Singh mansion. Why? Because for the fact that Itzel is not back yet from where ever she has been to! And it is already seven in the evening. Now, he is really regretting coming back from there instead of staying there and keeping an eye on her. Why did he need to tell the driver to take a u turn instead of staying there till she would have come out and then follow her again?'Where are you, Itzel?' He questions more to himself since no one else is here with him to hear him. His nerves are a wrecking mess by now and his palms are getting all clammy from anticipating her arrival. Just then the doorbell rings signaling that someone is at the doorstep. Without waiting for any maid to open the door, he dashes off and swings it open only for it to reveal Mr. Singh standing there. With utter dismay, Dmitri lets him in and closes the door behind, but not before looking out once to see if she is coming back now. The maid serves Mr. Singh and Dmitri leaves to go upstairs sneakily. Standing in the balcony, he waits to see that familiar figure to come down the alleyway. As he waits for Itzel, he remembers the times when she used to wait for him just like this, standing in the balcony, and once she would see him, she would run back in and would start serving him warm and delicious dinner herself. How sweet and caring she used to be! But what has happened to her now? Was she this lovely only to him back then? Even if she was, he can't help but feel flattered. Smiling at those memories, he shakes his head slightly. He would wait for her no matter how long she takes, it is just that she needs to be safe! And, he would keep her safe even if it means that he himself has to stay at a distance from her."Mr. Taylor?" He almost freezes when he hears that voice calling him. Slowly turning around, he finds Mr. Singh eyeing him. "What are you doing here?" He asks to which Dmitri does not have any proper response."Nothing in particular, Mr. Singh!" He says. "Is Ms. Singh back yet?"With squinted and scrutinizing eyes, Mr. Singh looks him up and down before settling his gaze back on his eyes. "Why are you asking about her? Have you not been told to not count her in for any meals in the mansion?" He asks Mr. Taylor. "Oh, about that, Mrs. Singh has earlier told me that she is at home today and that I have to count her in for dinner as well. But I have seen her going out at around five or something in the evening. And she is not back yet. So, I thought of just asking you if she has come back yet." Says Dmitri, trying to pick out if he has any idea as of to where she is gone. But now looking at his frowning face, Dmitri is sure that Mr. Singh too is unaware of the whole situation, just like Mrs. Singh and their son. And, looking back at the way how Itzel was sneaking out is enough proof to be able to say that she has not told anyone where she has been to! 'God, this girl will surely drive me crazy!' Dmitri whispers to himself mentally while closing his eyes and purs
Itzel's face gets morphed into one that of frustration as she shuts her eyes tightly before exhaling harshly through her nostrils. "What is it?" She questions him looking the least bit interested in this conversation. Gulping, Dmitri looks at her vexed expression before letting a small bit of smile to hover over his lips which Itzel can't quite seem to catch. "Okay, it is about your mother..." He starts but is soon cut off curtly by Itzel's irritated voice. "That you have already told me, have you not? I know that she is asking me if I have had dinner or not, and I said yes to you just a while ago! So, what else is there to ask?" She rants out at Dmitri who just manages to stand there while listening to her ranting. To say the least, he is surprised, by this kind of behavior of Itzel. As far as he knew, she was never this impatient. Infact, she was the sweetest, naive and the most patient person he ever knew two years back. Dmitri was the impatient one in their relationship of six m
"Oy, babies!" Itzel calls out softly making sounds as if she is kissing the air. And soon two toddling four-legged figures come trudging into her way of sight. One is brown and white in colour, and the other one is black and brown. Smiling brightly, she makes that same kissing sound some more and the two little babies start wiggling their tails at her after lifting their head to up as she stands in her balcony. Pulling two soft biscuits from her hands out, she lets them fall on the ground below and those puppies begin fighting cutely to eat both the pieces by themselves and she laughs at them as they growl very cutely at each other. Soon, two more dogs come to them. They are the father and mother of the two puppies. Her heart feels contented as she takes in the scene infront of her. Roxy, the mother of the babies, licks her children while the father, Chotu, licks Roxy. Even if they are animals, that too stray, they know what love is! They have a family to live with even if they don't
Whipping her head up, Itzel looks him in the eye. His cold grey eyes which seem a little too unnatural, hold an unwavering belief in them. A belief that tells her and almost draws her to absorb in what he just said is the truth. That indeed, she is not a bad omen or anything but she is just like any other human being out there who are lucky enough to have this life and happy that they have a family to love and take care of. But who is she kidding? She is just not normal! With this attitude of hers at least, no she is not! And, she does not have a family to call her own. Yet. Or maybe, she will never have one, with that problem of hers. She lowers her head to look at anywhere but him. Dmitri immediately notices the change in her demeanor and wants to ask her many questions as yo why she would think of herself as this. But deciding against it, he just sticks to the case on hand. "Look how peacefully he is sleeping now!" He almost cooes at the puppy infront of them. Itzel too, can't hel
Coming out of the master bedroom, Dmitri descends down the stairs and towards his room. But before he could go into the room, his eyes fall on a man who is behaving all friendly and touchy with Itzel. With one of his hand holding onto a briefcase, the man, who looks like he is a mere twenty something years old, has his other hand around her shoulders. She too, is not opposing his touch! What the hell is wrong with her? His palms get fisted tightly as he sees the both of them coming in through the door and walk past him up the stairs. Is this the same guy whom she was talking to earlier? Without wasting another second, he rushes to go behind them and follow them discreetly. Not like they seem to notice him anyway. They are just too busy with each other's company to even notice his presence. And that kind of vexed hell out of Dmitri. Unknowingly, he wants all of her attention just on him! Even if it sounds too selfish, he does not care at this point. All he wants is Itzel! So, now comi
Back in her room, Itzel sits on the balcony chair while staring out at nothing in particular. Her mind is full of thoughts of a certain someone right at this moment. Valerie. It was the name Dmitri had given to his American corn snake which he was so fond of. It has been two years since she has heard anything from him. And she does not happen to hear anything about him in the news as well. For a successful bussinessman like him, he sure is a secretive and not so swanky one out there. Itzel has known him for six months from very near. But before that, she has been keeping tabs on him with the help of her father's secretary who so happens to be in love with her antics till now. When she was a mere girl of seventeen, she was sure that this was the man whom she needs in her life as her man. How naive was she to even think of such a thing back then! But now, she would not give a second thought to that sort of idea in her head. If it ever comes back to her. Dmitri was fond of keeping exoti
With a loud sigh Itzel plops on the chair infront of her dressing table while holding a beautiful sequin mint green sundress in her hands. Her brown eyes look so dull as she stares at her reflection in the mirror. Why does she have to go for this breakfast date, which is also a blind date for her? Just because her father said, no, ordered her to! Every fiber in her body is screaming for her to not go. But does she have a say in it? No! With another sigh, a short one, she gets to work. After applying a little foundation, eyeliner, some mascara and compact powder and lastly some pink lipstick, she dons the sundress and pairs it with a light green sling bag in which she keeps all her essentials like her phone, her chapstick, some mouth fresheners and some cash. Wearing a pair of black stilletos completes her look for today. And she is all set to go out. When she descends down the stairs, her father's secretary is standing there waiting for her. "Hello, Itzel darling!" She greets her with
"Oh, no! Damon, stop it now!" Itzel rambles out with a humph. But Damon being Damon does not listen to her and keeps on making her fun. "My sweet, sweet Itsi is scared of geckos! Oh, really? Geckos? They are the sweetest reptiles I know!" Damon rants and rants about actually how good geckos are. Apparently, Damon, her best friend from elementary school, has got a gecko to look after for a few days since its owner is out of station. This is one of his many part time jobs as a teenager in high school. "Excuse me, I am not scared of that thing, okay! But look at him! He is an obnoxious creature." She literally cringes while looking at him standing at a two feet distance from it. Damon places one of his palms on his chest and gasps, faking hurt. "Do not say like that, Itsi! Look how sad he has become because of what you just said! Oh, no baby, don't mind her. She is just jealous because she is not as beautiful as you, okay?" This time Itzel gasps at him. How could he even say that? She
