We step out into the backyard, bundled up in coats to protect ourselves from the cold that seems to penetrate to the bone. The sky is dark and threatening, with heavy clouds announcing the imminent arrival of rain at any moment.

The air is charged with electricity, and I can feel the tension in the atmosphere as we watch the swirling clouds above us. The wind blows gently, carrying with it the fresh smell of wet earth and anticipating the rain that is about to come.

We sit on some old garden furniture, looking out at the gray and gloomy landscape with a mixture of melancholy and anticipation. Despite the unpleasant weather, there's something comforting about being outdoors, facing the storm together.

"I think we should head inside," suggests Lottie, rising cautiously as the first drops of rain begin to fall. "I don't want you to catch a cold after everything you've been through."
