CHAPTER 15
Alice reasoned what her sister had said and realized it was all true. The King was in every way unworthy of their love. Not like they loved him in the first place. He was the cause of their misery and problems.
They continued to wash the table cloth in silence, each reliving the events of the day. Alice hated the chief cook for slicing her sister's face and the maid that rubbed pepper on Alicia's wounds. Alicia hated the cook that made Alice stumble and Princess Sasha for beating her sister's face to the point it was.
"Have you had something to eat?" Alicia asked her sister.
"Since the one slice of bread we had in the morning, I've not had anything else to eat". Alice replied.
"You haven't eaten?" Alicia exclaimed in shock.
"Lower your voice there Alicia. Aside from Kylie, no one else should know you're out here, helping me with my punishment ". Alice said.
