Chapter Sixteen

Lilith's POV

I wash exactly as Theo demanded using the lavender body scrub and loafer.

Meticulously I dip myself in the water before scrubbing every inch of skin I have before moving on to my hair.

Memorising all the wounds I have I watch in amazement as I rid the last of the horrid-smelling stuff from my skin, the burns and mottled skin healing in front of my eyes.

The skin changes colour and knits back together in places in a fast motion.

I've never quite seen myself heal this way, except maybe when Theo had licked my wounds.

Moving my wrist back and forth I watch as the rope burns change from gaping open to healing shut to a scar pink and bright.

Something has awoken in me back there with that man, a feeling of belonging and Abyss has become stronger her call to be with someone almost overwhelming. She pines in my mind, our bond getting stronger as the minutes go by.
