Damien’s horse gave a loud neigh as he urged it to stop a few steps away from me.
“Lady Gwendolyn,” he bowed slightly. “I am sorry, we have come with sad news.”
My heart began to race rapidly as I looked up at him. “What sad news? Where’s.. where’s Alexander?” I stuttered trying my best to hold back the tears that threatened to fall.
Damien didn’t say anything but moved side ways to give way to the carriage that was approaching. It stopped in front of me and I looked at Damien confused.
“The Alpha king has been cursed with an illness. He only has 5 days to live.” He dropped a bomb that exploded all the way to my soul, scattering my heart to pieces.
