Chapter 12 Just why?

Richard's point of view...

"Anna Stanford...!" I exclaimed as I saw her there in that room.

A chuckle left my lips wondering how small this world is.

I agreed to this stupid deal because Mom promised me that she would leave me alone once I met this girl.

At first, I thought that I could just explain to that girl that I didn't want to get married right now and leave, but seeing an old friend made me excited.

I never imagined meeting her here in a small town and that too as a blind date.

It was totally unexpected. She is a good artist. I met her at an art gala a few months back in New York. She participated in it as a co-artist but I really loved her work back then

Anna is a friendly girl and as I requested her, she agreed to play along but on one condition that I had to attend a party with her the other day.

After a brief talk and a hearty dinner with her family, I felt a special closeness with them. Her Mom was so kind and definitely the best cook that I have ever met.
