Chapter 18: Panic

Marc entered his apartment sluggishly.

“Hey, you seem tired. Lisa told me her mother is in town. Did you meet her? Such a waste of an evening. I planned all this for her.”

“I didn’t meet her. I left when she told me her mother is on the way. It was all very sudden.” Marc announced.

It was sudden. Her felt like a bug, leaving her apartment in such secrecy. He didn’t want to treat her this way. But he heard her surprise on meeting her mother, he knew he couldn’t be found in her room. He jumped out of her bedroom window. Two floors of height was nothing for his strength. But how would she have felt, he wondered when Lisa would have entered the empty room.

“I am going to bed.” He barely looked at Erica. She hadn’t turned so her senses weren’t as refined as his There was no way she could smell another woman on him but he didn’t want to risk it. Another woman? Is that what he had turned Lisa into? He felt remorseful for putting her in such a tough spot. But a part of him was still nostalg
