“What’s happening here?” The restaurant manager came forward and questioned. People in the restaurant just stared at them in amusement. Of course they wouldn’t lose the opportunity to watch some drama. Life was boring after all.
Rita’s heart raced when she saw the huge manager. Rushing to the unconscious man, she tugged at his sleeve to see if he was awake. She pressed two of her fingers together and placed them on his neck to check his pulse.
Suddenly, she was yanked away from the man and came face to face with Chris who had bloodshot eyes.
“Don’t you dare touch another man!!” He roared, anger evident in his voice as he gritted his teeth.
The sight of Rita’s smooth hands touching that disgusting man irked him. Strangely he wanted to be the only one she touched. Even though he knew that he was treading a dangerous path, he couldn’t help but get drawn to it like a moth is drawn to a flame.
