Daniel's p.o.v

Sitting on the bed, I covered my face with my palms. Linda was gone for four hours and she still had not reached home. I called her dad to know if she was there but he did not pick up as well. Later, I tried to call Linda but her phone was unreachable.

After she left, I applied ointment on Rose's bruised arm and forehead and ordered her to leave. She was being stubborn at first but then I convinced her. Staying here would not do her any good.

After she left, I locked myself in the study room.

I felt like I did something wrong.

Did I humiliate Linda to show her that I still love Rose or did I do that because she was having a strong effect on me and I hated that? Was I trying to convince myself that I was not attracted to her?

All those questions crept in my mind, making me confused. Every time she appeared in front of me, I recalled that face. That was one of the reasons I would not p
