Erika's POV

After breakfast, he carried me in his arms and walked out of the house. He insisted on carrying me because of my injuries. Goddess knew how embarrassed I was.

He put me in the back seat of his SUV and then he went to the driver’s seat.

Don’t you need to work? I mind-linked him.

"I’ll be with you today." He said as he started the engine.

Like my personal guard? I mind-linked him.

"Oh yes." He chuckled. It was the first time I heard him chuckle. "One of the advantages of being my Luna is that you get accompanied all the time."

Sure. I mind-linked him and forced a smile, although I was cursing inside that this "advantage" made escaping all the more difficult.

The little joke lightened the atmosphere. Now it seemed that I could also be a good actress.
