Chapter 51 Rosetta

He stared out the window; his emotions conflicting and clashing. She was sincere in her apology and he definitely forgave her... and his best friend, Marino.

To think Marino had harboured the secret for years. He shook his head. He had been the fool all along, the fool who couldn't see what was right in front of his nose. He should have known; he should have sensed it.

"Domenico."

He looked back into her nervous eyes.

"Its fine, I forgive you but it'll take a bit more time for the wound to heal."

"You need space?" She was sad.

He smiled, "You've given me enough space. We'll move on."

Her downcast face lightened into a smile, broke into a giggle then widened in relieved laughter.

They'll move on.
