Millie and Gabriel

Millie leaned up against an olive tree, and she would read her kindle and relax. Unfortunately, she got halfway down the page, and her mind would drift off to what she was going to say to Gabriel. She had to force herself to stop thinking and start the book again, and again.

She couldn't see Nick and Katie anymore they had gone inside and as Gabriel had taken the car, he would be here soon, though he would have to park the vehicle by the cottages and walk the rest of the way.

He was there all too soon; she never even saw him walk towards her; he was just there squatting on his heels right next to her.
