Chapter 16 The cafe

Natalie went to the cafe next door to college with Amanda. She was talking to her about the singing part she got in the play. Amanda had a sweet voice. It was very pleasant to hear.

"I got the part along with Derek, I'm excited."

"About the singing part or singing it with Derek?"

"I believe both." She said and laughed. It was clear she had a crush on that guy.

"He keeps looking at me directly while singing during practice. It's like he's singing those words to me."

"That's sweet Amanda. Maybe you should ask him out."

Amanda just shyly smiled, nodding her head.

They settled on a table near the window and placed their bags on the chair.

"Hey I need to go to the washroom, can you order me large fries, a double cheeseburger, and a cookies & cream shake please."
