Chapter One Hundred-Fifteen

On Monday the next week, I’m seating in English class with Cassie beside me. We are waiting for Mr Daniels our English teacher to come in.

On the drive to school in Cassie’s car, she had given me the rundown of what happened during Roman’s birthday party last Friday after I had left.

“Rich people are crazy, Lin. Like really crazy” Cassie had exclaimed to me.

“What do you mean?” I had asked her, Cassie is prone to exaggerations.

“After you left Roman’s birthday party, they did some sort of gift giving to your boyfriend” Cassie starts.

I act interested but deep down I’m focused on her use of the word ‘boyfriend’, after our fight that night, I know for a fact Roman and I have hit a speed bump in our relationship that won’t be going away very easily. I don’t try to correct her however, I simply nod for her to continue on with her story telling.
