As she clutched the brake, swirling the wheels of her bicycle, she stormed right in front of the shop she was delivering the takeaway to while tapping the ground with his toe to balance herself. Her hands still grabbing onto the handlebar, she took out the bag, rummaging inside to confirm the address written on the note.
“Yeah, this is it,” she mumbled, parking the cycle in front of the car washing shop, blocking half the entrance for cars to enter there.
Walking in, she gazed at the shop, the large place divided into two sections, one for washing and the other one looked more like a garage. The tools scattered on the floor as she walked into the garage to find the person who ordered. But there wasn’t any person she could find. As she was about to stumble on some wrench, kicking one of them to the other side of the wall, she stopped looking at what she had thrown.
She felt bad, kicking it, so bent down to pick it up and p

As he woke up in the bright sun coming from the window, he allowed his eyes to wide open as his hand rummaged to see where he was. Darius only remembered last night he was mad at Ryan and went to drink at a pub. Yesterday his day went quite hard as he had to go to the police station thanks to that jerk who claimed all of his father’s fortune as a settlement money. He could give him a good beating to ask for that money ever again. But his father was there, he can’t act rashly, making him in a rather difficult place. But when he went back home, he noticed the door of his apartment was not locked. As he walked in, the lights were on, reminding him Ryan might have come back. And he did. He walked to his bed with a glass of hot milk right in front of Darius, but he seemed to not notice him yet. As Darius walked inside, he noticed a package from the café where he worked. The fragrance of pecan pie and chocolate came, the same as he sme
Stacey stuffed the magazine into one of his brother’s drawer while she noticed Darius nibbling on the sandwich, his face pale in panic of being in a stranger’s house. She walked out of the room to bring some milk as she forgot it when she saw his brother coming in the room she looked up at him and left. He walked in casually to his own room. Last night, he had to sleep on the couch outside. Noah plopped on the soft bed of his beside him. Darius was utterly shocked at the sight of this guy in front of him. The sandwich hanging from his mouth dropped on the plate. The very person he felt uncomfortable about last night now was sitting in front of him and, most probably, he himself was in this guy’s room. He still can’t forget the grin on his face last night as he went with that guy. It was very much clear what he had done there with that old fart. As the sandwich fell down his mouth, Noah smirked, looking at the bitten sandwich. He snatched
Ryan woke up in a jolt to hear his phone ringing vigorously inside his blanket. Last night after Darius left abruptly before he could stop him, he pondered about texting him, but his fingers stopped every moment he wanted to press the send buttons. Unsure of what to say, what to be sorry for, his mind went blank. Why was he mad? Is it because he didn’t come home all night? But he can’t say the truth. He might explode at Linda for inviting me and doing that. Well, he remembered he didn’t tell him about today too. The whole day with him gone without letting him know must have made him angry this much. He kept on typing and deleting the messages before sending to Darius just when he received a message in that night time from Ashton, his boss, from the car washing shop. His heart sank at the sight of his text. After that day, that rich
The door swung as both Ryan and Ashton noticed a colossal figure coming in. Ryan peeking between Ashton’s arms as Ashton pressed his shoulders down to glue him with the chair, not letting him stand, in case he falls again. But as Ashton turned his face to see his long awaited friend Luke, his eyes widened to see the least expected person in his shop. The guy with a bulky build walked in, his steps getting slower and face twisting as he saw Ryan and his boss in an awkward position, thinking he might have disturbed their private time. “Owen?” Ryan mumbled, sitting on the chair underneath Ashton, still pressing his shoulders down as he heard him mumble, shocked to know they know each other. “You know him, Ryan?” he looked down to his pinkish face, which turned a dark shade of pink as Ryan remembered his embarrassing encounter with him last time. Ashton backed away, thinking he made him uneasy. “Should I leave now? Guess you’re busy doing s
Owen Davenport, everyone in the industry, knew his name. The future CEO of the Davenport Co, his dear father, will entitle the company to him which he very much despises. Yet he had to suffer all the humiliation of not taking care of his father’s precious company, made him annoyed at every moment his father called him to talk about it. This time, also in the midst of some cute texts from his newly made friend, he received one of his father’s text message, “Come home at 4 sharp. We need to talk,” even his texts were boring as hell, which made his lips curve downward, upsetting him as much as he hates his father. Ten minutes left to clock ticking at 4, he descended at the Davenport mansion, frown all over his face as the very first person he saw in his house was Mrs. Davenport, his step mother gossiping and bragging about a ring her husband brought from Paris. He could barely tolerate David and his annoying sister, but their mother was another breed of s
The night sky illuminated the moonlight across the street as the freezing wind blew through the path. The shop keeper of the flower shop nearby shivered as the cold gust blew her pink scarf, making her puffy cheeks pink, her silky hair fleeting with the air alongside her shawl waving upon her embroidered calf length gown. Her sandals clicking at the soft rhythm she made while running towards the end of the street, her eyes brightened to see her other half waving at her. A married woman in her thirties, her age, flickered at the slight wrinkles at both of the corners of her eyes. Her husband was waiting for her in the distance. Delighted to see him, she sped up when she noticed two young guys coming out of the café near the end of the lane. She knew both of them, Ryan who lives next block and the handsome young man, around in his twenties, walked out of his shop, locking the front door. As she waved at her husband with her gleamin
The dim room lit up at the light coming through the table lamp. Wind blowing the curtains hanging on the window, which looked like they were embracing each other. Outside was gloomy as well. The night had fallen; the moon shone brighter than anything. Luke walked in to the dimly lit room, his heavy feet dragging themselves against the hard floor, with each step thumping on it. His loose brown trousers waving along the room as he halted in front of the mirror right next to the window, his hands rubbing against his cheek, which were slightly red, standing in front of there. He didn’t bother lighting up the room as it was already night and the place was not pitch dark. The curtains flickered at the sight of him as if they were admiring the beauty of his sharp jaw on his diamond face glowing in the dark. They went back to their window sill resting themselves as the breeze subsided down and Luke took the chance to shut the windows as icy wind slammed on his
As Luke sweated all over his chest even in this winter, the blankets slid off as he gulped down a whole glass of water in a blink. A black long hand with pointy fingers came out of his bed underneath crawling down, which creeped him so much that the water in hi smooth froze. His eyes widened to see the hand as the room was dark with a streak of light coming from the window. His heart raced. He slowly gulped down the water stuck in his mouth, locking his eyes on the thing slithering down as he noticed another same pointy hand came out following the former which tried coming out. Fear struck, Luke couldn’t even move as his whole body felt stiff from this sudden entity coming out of his bed like some giant monster was hiding down. The room was too gloomy to see clearly how those monstrosities moved as he breathed heavily, shaking in fear. His hands trembled to grab the bed sheet, clutching them tightly when his other hand rustling t
