Accepting Her Invitation

"I killed him for hurting you," his words froze her heart completely. Flora looked at him, aghast. Her eyes had rounded so much like they were going to be out of her sockets. Her mouth was hung open.

Flora forgot to breathe until she saw him rolling his eyes at her.

"What's wrong with your sense of humour? You're not the only one who can joke around here," he uttered, frowning. Flora finally regained her normal senses, after hearing him and as soon as she understood his words, she sent him a scowl.

"Do you think it's something to joke about, Easton?" She blurted out, starting the engine again.

"I am sorry. Seems like my sense of humour is terrible and its timing is much worse than that," he gave her an apologetic grin. Flora sighed.

"Sometimes, you become too difficult to understand," she uttered, looking at the road. He peered at the side of her face.

"Is it a bad thing?" He asked, making her look at him.

"The time will tell, Mr Marzel," she answered him and looked away.
