Chapter Twenty-Four

“What is that?” Merrow asked as he walked closer. He looked from Lola back to the strange unmoving brightly colored object.

“It’s my jeep.” Lola said pressing the button on the key fob making the lights flash as the doors unlocked. Merrow jump at the sound.

“We are expected to ride in there?” Merrow asked as he glanced at Lola.

“You can stay home if you’d like.” Lola bit her lip as she glanced up at him, “I could always ask Puca to come with me.”

“Nay, he and I agreed already.”

“What do you mean?” Lola asked as she opened the door and slid into the jeep.

“Just that if the time comes to lay with you, I should take it.” Merrow said as he watched Lola start the massive beast that she called a jeep.

“Good to know that I won’t be causing problems between the two of you.” She said before closing the door. Rolling down her window, she smiled at him. “Are you coming?”

She watched Merrow study the vehicle before he stepped closer, “How do I get inside?”
