Chapter 16: The Surprise

When the calm looking lawyer saw Lucianda, a flash of light came into his eyes also and he blinked in surprise before the mask of professionalism came over his expression.

He moved closer with a business-like smile. “Mrs Castos? I was told you would like to see me?” Even though they were all aware she practically forced her way in, none of his manners showed it.

“Hello, Mr. James. How are you doing?” Moving forward, Luci stretched her right hand for an amiable handshake and then tilting her head to the side to access the man she had come to see, she gave a radiant smile that transformed the whole of her expression from Beautiful to Exceptional.

Tony James was human after all? He could not take his eyes away.

Even his secretary could not control the small gasp that came out of her lips. ‘Who could have believed one person would pack such a dollop of smile? And just imagine, she had not thought it necessary to bless me with it.’ Miffed, she glared at Lucianda in mild jealousness.
