John's face darkened; he knew his grandson well enough.

He turned to Mike, hoping that it was all a misunderstanding.

However, Mike trembled and stammered his reply.

"I— I did not know…did not know the woman belonged to Lord Perlo's brother…"

"Dumbass!" John raged and slapped him.

William and his wife turned pale.

They were unfamiliar with Zack Perlo but had heard of his infamous reputation, so they were terrified.
