"Is there something that's bothering you?" Ammi asked me for the hundredth time. She was nagging me for the past few days with the same question. How could I tell her something that I was not sure about?

"Nothing, ammi. I told you it's just pressure of work", I shrugged, lying. I slurped the tea after dinner.

"You're having tea quite a lot nowadays. That too after dinner?" She frowned.

"That's why you think something is wrong with me?" I rolled my eyes.

"Yes", she squinted her eyes at me.

"Seriously?" I scoffed. "It's tea. Not alcohol. Come on"

I continued to take sips.

Nowadays, things didn't feel the same. Although all the problems were sorted my life seemed to get messed up and I wasn't sure about the reason. Ammi was fine. Abrar and Zoya were happy. The work was good.

But there was something wrong with Nikhat.

Yes, that girl didn't talk to me properly for the past month as if she didn't even know me. She
