I trailed off when I caught sight of Alicia in their midst.

"I'll end her today," Lin growled.

"To what do I owe this sudden visit," I asked, shutting off Lin.

"Alpha, we would like to have a meeting with you," the oldest amongst them said.

I nodded and without disputing, I walked alongside them to the meeting ground.

"So?" Jarek questioned once we got there.

"We got wind that you found your mate."

"Congratulations Alpha," they all chorused and bowed.

I clicked my tongue at their hypocrisy.

"Why does it seem like you are not really happy with the fact that I found my mate?" I asked, my murderous gaze fixed on them.

The oldest cleared his throat.

"We heard that your mate isn't like us," he said with his head bowed.

"I wonder where you heard that from. It has been barely an hour since I found out about my mate…" I trailed off, letting my words sink in.

Alicia, who played an important role in the pack, had also joined us for the meeting. Knowing my words we
