SHREYA'S POV :
I was standing in the corner with Rahul by my side, staring at the traitor Neha, who was happily dancing with her boyfriend, leaving me alone with Rahul, as she had done every damn time.
I felt awkward the moment I walked into the club. Perhaps because more than half of the people were inebriated and dancing erratically. I'm not used to this kind of atmosphere, and it makes me feel very uneasy."Shreya," Rahul called out, jolting me out of my trance. When I didn't respond, he tapped my shoulder and said, "Shreya.""Where are you lost, Shreya. Were you even paying attention to me? I've been talking to you for a long time, and you've been standing quietly. Is everything okay? Are you all right?" Rahul inquired.Oh, Shreya, he's trying to keep you company and make you feel at ease, and you're lost in your thoughts."Oh, Rahul, I just want water, you know." I clenched my teeth and pursed my lips."All right, hold on a second."I simply smiled. I needed to be alone for a while. He is my friend, but I am not particularly close to him.I suddenly felt as if someone was watching me. You know, that sixth sense that only girls have. My gaze scanned the area and was met by a pair of brown domineering eyes penetrating my soul and standing at the far end corner. At that moment, it felt as if the world had come to a halt.My vision became blurry as a result of the light, and I couldn't see his face clearly. Rahul cut me off before I could make any move to close the gap and read his features.
"Umm, take this," he said, offering me a glass of water."Thank you, Rahul." I gave him a friendly smile."It's fine," he replied with a smile. There was a one-minute pause."So, what have you decided?" he said, breaking the silence."What do you mean?" I asked him while pretending to be innocent."Are you coming here to stand still or are you going to dance and have a good time?" He asked, tucking his hands into his pockets."But I was forced to come here," I explained as I set the glass down."Oh, Shreya, just come out of your shell. Have some fun and live your life. You know what, you will not be able to relive this period of your life. Come on, dance with me "He extended his hand to me."But I don't know how to dance," I said, looking at his hand. And the truth is that I am a good dancer, but I am too shy to dance in public. I only dance at family gatherings where your relatives force you to dance because they believe that girls should be able to dance.Rahul drew me back into the world by taking my hand in his and saying, "Don't worry, I'm here." He said it in a cinematic tone."Oh so filmy, haha"He laughed with me and dragged me onto the dance floor before I could come up with another excuse.
He put his hand on my waist and took my hand in his. But, thank God, he kept a healthy distance between us, which is why I call him a gentleman; he knows his boundaries. After a while, we began to swing to the music. One of my favorite songs was playing at the time. We continued dancing while Rahul kept staring at me, while my eyes were drawn to the floor.
Rahul interrupted my thoughts once more."You're looking so lovely," he said as he looked into my eyes, and I just smiled. His eyes were gleaming, as if he were staring at the most beautiful woman.Rahul was staring at me all the time, and I was doing my best not to look in his direction. Now he was making me feel awkward, and I still have the feeling that someone is watching me.It was as if someone was watching my every move. I'm not sure why I'm feeling this way.
My eyes started looking for that man again, but when they didn't find him, I just lowered my head and stared at the floor, which seemed to be a better thing to look at than anything else.

ATHARVA'S POVSo like I promised him, I have to come to this shitty place. And now I'm standing here by myself because that kid has gone with his childhood friend, whom he met by chance years later. Huh. I despise him.I was sipping my drink and casually looking around when my eyes were drawn to something beautiful. No, it wasn't something; it was someone!
A girl, a lovely girl!
She wasn't wearing anything revealing, just a nice red dress that covered most of her body and made her look stunning.
Her eyes began to search for someone, and then they landed on me. And it appears that the world has come to a halt at that point. Her eyes are quite appealing, and all of her innocence is encapsulated in the shape of her button-like nose. She was interrupted by a boy who offered her a glass of water before her eyes could properly see me and her brain could memorize me. He appears to be her boyfriend, in my opinion.
Maybe I shouldn't care.
I opened my phone to divert my attention. But I'm not sure why I couldn't concentrate on anything in particular. When I looked up, I saw that boy holding her hand and looking into her eyes, indicating that he is madly in love with her. He then dragged her out onto the dance floor. How dare he drag her around like that? What if she is injured?
They started dancing, but I'm not sure why the girl doesn't seem at ease with that guy.
So what the hell is she doing dancing with him? She can simply say no to him. He couldn't possibly force her to do anything!
My blood boiled when I saw how that guy was holding her waist. But, hey, why am I getting so worked up about her when she means nothing to me?
Then my phone rang, and I went outside the club to retrieve it. And she was nowhere to be found when I returned. "Who are you looking for, Atharva? Is there a girl here... Hmm? Don't be afraid to tell me." In a mocking tone, Prem inquired. "Shut up prem! And If you are done with your childish behavior then shall we leave?" "Oh, why am I asking you? In fact, I am leaving!" I exclaimed. "Oh, I'm coming," he said as he ran behind me because he hadn't brought his car.I was only thinking one thing the entire time: WHO WAS SHE?SHREYA'S POV: I'm not sure how it happened, but I woke up early today and made it to work on time. I wore a simple baby pink kurta with a white salwar. Yes, you read that correctly: I wore a kurta. My mother brought five kurtas for me and instructed me to wear them. Isn't it a dictatorship? This is not right. I scowled. After applying pink lip balm that matched my kurta, I let my hair float freely in the air. My mother was also in a good mood today, and thankfully, she did not create any melodrama. I arrived at the office 10 minutes earlier than usual. While looking for a cab, my eyes caught sight of an elderly lady crying and begging in the middle of the street. I approached her and was about to give her money when she began to cry "I'm hungry, Beta. I haven't eaten anything in three days." I looked for a shop or a food stall, but there were none, so I gave her my lunch to eat, and she devoured it.
Shreya's POV It was lunchtime, and I was getting bored at work. Neha has already quit her job because she is getting married, and she was unable to devote enough time to her boyfriend because of her job. Ansh bhaiya's wife is 8 months pregnant, so he returns home for lunch. Rahul is the only one who has remained. I have no idea where he is and am not in the mood to look for him. I'm not sure why I wasn't in the right mood; perhaps it was because of my periods. Instead of going to the cafeteria, I decided to eat my lunch in my cubicle. Someone tapped me on the shoulder as I was about to open my lunch. "Hmm.....someone looks really lovely in a salwar suit," he winked. "Just shut up, Rahul," I grumbled. "You should wear them more often. You look great in this suit." He began singing the song while sitting beside me in the chair. And I rolled my eyes once more, thinking, "Will he ever
Shreya's POV:GrrrrGhrrrrrrrrGhrrrrrrrrrrrDamn this scooty, you too had to stop working today!Ohh please for God's sake it is Monday."Please start moving, please. I beg you"GhrrrrrrrrGhrrrrrrrrrr"Congratulations Shreya Gupta, this is really a very good start to your week," I said to myself in a sarcastic tone."Can I ever rely on you dhanno?" (scooty name)Ohh yes you heard me right I talk to nonliving things too....Isn't it weird? Huh...who cares....."That's why I always tell you to wake up early so that you would be ready for uncertain things like this" Mom shouted from the house."Ohh please, mom.... I am not in a mood.... please" I said irritated.I walked away from there to catch up on a taxi, rickshaw, or whatever moving vehicle that can leave me to my office.I tried multiple times but couldn't stop
SHREYA'S POVIt is Thursday and the week until now was hell boring.Ansh bhaiya is on parental leave as he is blessed with a baby boy.And you already know about Rahul. It is not like I don't have friends here, it is just that bond that I miss a lot. People here are friends because they have their selfish motives. In the corporate world, people will walk over your dead bodies just to get a promotion. They don't care about anyone's sentiments, all they want is business. And I don't know why people here are jealous of me. This could be because I have got a promotion in a short period. But all this is a result my hard work and dedication towards my work.I was snapped out of my thoughts when my phone started buzzing."Hello""Miss Shreya boss is calling you in his office right now," Boss's personal assistant told me and cut the call before I could say anything.Offo why is
SHREYA'S POVIt is Saturday afternoon and I haven't started with my presentation yet.Yes, you heard me right. The whole damn Friday I was just searching, analyzing, and summarizing the data. To hell with the schedule that I decided.Don't be weak Shreya you can do it.Pushing the negative thoughts away I opened my laptop and started with the first slide.••••••••••••••••••••••••At 4 PM"Shreya, now put your work aside, and let's go with me," Mom said from nowhere."Where?" My eyebrows squinted."For shopping""Excuse me, are you serious Mumma. I am busy with such an important work and you are asking me to go on shopping with you?" I asked in disbelief "I am not going anywhere with you" I declared and resumed my work."But ba
SHREYA'S POV"Wake up Shreya. Today is your presentation and it is 10 (minutes) past 7 AM" My personal alarm (Mumma) called me."Good morning Mumma" I wished her while opening my eyes, stretching my hands and legs and welcoming the new morning."God bless you . Have a nice day". She smiled and I smiled back. Her smile is my favorite thing and I adore it a lot. She is my strength. And I can do anything to see her happy."Now quickly stand up like a good girl and get ready" She left the room saying this. She still talks to me like I am a school-going, girl. Hehe. But I love it.I went straight to take the blessings of Goddess Saraswati. I joined my hands, bowed my head, and prayed for my good day. I generally do not ask her anything because whatever she has given me is more than enough. And I believe that she already knows what I actually want. The most important thing is that I am happy and I just want to stay happy for my whole life.
Atharva's POVI wanted to have some important and private discussion with Raghav(head of the branch in which Shreya currently works) so I left early. I reached there at 10:30 and knocked on the door. Because although I own this branch still there is something called privacy. To my surprise, she was also there in his cabin probably discussing today's meeting. When she looked at me she dropped the files, her eyes became wide, and her lips were parted.I think she was in shock looking at me.I put my hands in the pocket of my pant, locked my eyes with her, and tried to intimidate her."Good morning sir" Raghav interrupted.I looked at his side and wished him "Good morning""What kind of employees do you hire who can't even wish their boss," I asked him indirectly pointing towards the girl standing in front of me."Good morning sir," she said stuttering. Nice effect."Now Shreya just check all the arrangements of
Shreya's POVIt is Tuesday evening and I was preparing to go back home when Raghav sir called me.Aeeinnn, what does he want at this time when I am wrapping up everything.I swear to God it irritates a lot when you are all prepared to leave for your home and someone gives you work. With a heavy heart I knocked on the door."May I come in sir?"Please say no so that I can go home."Yeah come in"Came his voice from the other side. Unwillingly I went in."Oh yeah Shreya, there is good news for you"He was smiling and looking all happy.I really doubt now that his good news is actually good news because the last time he exploded the bomb of responsibility on me and mentioned it as good news."Will, you not ask what is it?"He asked breaking my thought of chain."Oh yes, what is it?" I asked with a fake smile."The good news is that you have been promoted to the main office"
