“Did you sleep well?” Daria came to visit her daughter first thing in the morning. Yesterday evening, king Daniel prepared a feast for his new guests, but Ariana remained in her room. He sent a maid to bring her some food, but the maid reported the girl sleeping. Daria used that time to speak with king Daniel alone.
“I could use some more hours, but I feel good.” Ariana oozed energy. Over the past two weeks, she mostly fought with her mother whenever Daria tried to strike up a conversation. Ariana felt angry with her parents for forcing her to leave her homeland, leaving the father of her child. Yet, in her heart, she understood the reasons behind such a decision.
