Sara didn't need a second person to tell her the tall man with graceful looks was the Alpha. Her breath hitch as the man stared at her with sharp eyes as if he was trying to read her inner thoughts.
"Take her to the royal court, Aldophus and Brian, follow me," Alpha Calhoun ordered grimly and walked back into the building with his hands behind his back.
For the second time Sara wanted to see that person named Aldophus. She didn't know why her instinct kept being alert each time she heard that name. Before she could see the person, the royal guards pushed her towards one of the large doors at the entrance.
Sara turned and glared at the guard before walking in.
Though it was night and dark outside, Sara could tell the opposite of this court. Crystals hanging from chandeliers all around the court while giving a bright glow and good view of the court.
The white crystals luminated the courtroom with white light exuding all over the place and Sara could see even a tiny object.
The clearing of the throat by the alpha made Sara snap out of her awe. She could feel all eyes on her as she was the center of attention.
"Who are you and what's your purpose being here?" Alpha Calhoun asked with a deep firm voice.
Sara's lips twitched in irritation and turned her head sideways, what caught her eyes was a young girl about her age. Sara then faced the alpha and lowered her head.
"I'm Sara, I live in a meadow town. I actually came here for something important, not that it's important to you all," she blurted and looked at the alpha only to regret what she just said.
Alpha Calhoun frowned with a hard stare and beckoned one of the guards.
"Teach her how to speak before her Alpha," he said and leaned back on his throne.
Sara swallowed an invisible lump on her throat as the guards approached her. It was her first time speaking with an Alpha in such an unfortunate moment.
"Meadow is a small poor town in the far east of Autumn town. The kid might have come to seek a job here as that was what happened last week." Brian quickly said to have the guards halt.
" How are you so sure Brian? Why would a kid ride on a tiger without getting... "
" He's mine." Sara interrupted the alpha which earned gasp from the royal court members. Sara turned green and her expression also.
"It seems you don't know not to speak while the alpha is still speaking, take the garbage to where you find her," Alpha Calhoun remarked harshly and called her a garbage.
She was suddenly riled up and wanted to protest but he's an alpha and might hurt her and no one would say a word. The thought of that happening made a cold shiver run down her spine.
Aldophus, who was beside the Luna Thelsa, was in a state of recalling the similar face of the girl and someone he once knew. The body shape was a bit different but not the facial features and voice.
Cleo the alpha's daughter was standing beside Aldophus with a grim look on her face. She noticed everyone was carried away by the unexpected matter of the girl. Even Aldophus, who doesn't care about such trivial matters, was as serious as anyone in the courtroom.
"For better monitoring why not lock her up in one of the guest room at least it would be comfortable," Brian added a and his mother shot h a glare that could send a person to hell
"I hope you're not up to something because if I do find out, your punishment would be doubled. Alpha Calhoun's voice boomed at his son and Sara exhaled in relief.
"Dismissed." Alpha Calhoun said and the courtroom soon turned crowded because of the court members who are here for sweet gossip.
Sara smiled warmly at Brian who returned it while showing his perfect set of teeth. She couldn't be more grateful for his help despite his father being the Alpha. Sara walked absentmindedly towards the door as the thought about killing the alpha kept popping into her head.
Cleo hooked her arms around Aldophus' hand and walked towards the girl who caught all eyes. "A few hours in Autumn, now you're more famous than me," she said with jealousy etched in her voice.
Sara smiled knowingly, she did not forget how this girl had glared at her when the alpha was addressing her. Sara could tell she was a popular member of the court making her wonder who she was.
"You should escort my sister to her room," Brian said and eyed the man beside his sister.
"You would suit better being her maleservant" Aldophus replied and walked towards the door with Cleo who was trying to keep up his fast paced.
That was the moment someone was beside the girl, Sara started the tall well built man as he walked away with the girl beside him. She smacked her head in frustration and looked over to Brian who was gazing at her.
"Don't mind my sister. I'm Brian, it's nice meeting you." Brian gave a brief introduction and followed her out of the courtroom.
Sara couldn't turn back but she knew the members of the court were angry or jealous.
"You're the Alpha's son right?"
Brian grinned and raked his fingers through his hair, "yes." He replied.
"Thank you for your help then," Sara was sincere with an appreciative smile on her face.
Brian took Sara towards one of the corridors which have doors side by side except the royal corridor. " Here's your room, " he said and pushed the door open for her to go in while he remained outside.
"Thank you, see you soon," Sara said and shut her door.

Sara sighed happily as she retired to her bed. The locket was passed from her mother to her and Sara vowed to keep it well. She had just finished arranging herself and put on a clean nightdress.
Knock Knock
Opening the door, Sara saw a maidservant holding a tray of food. "Master Brian asked me to bring you food milady," she said politely and passed the food to Sara before hurrying off.
She returned back into her room and placed the food on her table. She was about digging in to eat did a weird sensation washed through her all of a sudden.
A spark sensation flush through her and Sara quickly brought out the locket her mother had passed to her from inside her dress.
She was greatly taken aback by the change of color in the locket as it sparkled and quickly stood up to rush towards the window.
Sara blinked as she stared eyes to eyes with a glorious white huge wolf in the garden staring at her.
There was only one person she suspected, it was the same new yet familiar feeling. "Aldophus."
The white beautiful wolf stared at her for a long time before it leapt into Sara's room through the window. Werewolves weren't flexible as they are mostly skilled in chasing and attacking but the white wolf's movement was fast and agile with flexibility.
Sara held her messed up breath as she watched the wolf approach her. She drew backwards as the wolf kept closing in, its snout moving around as it smelled her.
Within the speed of light, Sara was thrown across the room as she hit the wall heavily. She grimaced and looked up to see the black eyes of the white wolves were now silver and Sara guessed it was angry.
Sara tried to stand up on her feet but she helplessly fell on the floor with a groan. Beads of sweat formed on her forehead as the wolf approached her again. It hauled her against the wall with its hind hand and tore her light dress down to her breast.
Sara felt her eyes sting as the white wolf pulled the necklace from her neck with its claws and shifted into its human form.
Aldophus stare at the girl who was crying at the verge of his claws, he took a look at her dress that was almost a shred at the middle of it.
"How did you lay your hand on this locket?" Aldophus asked in a calm but aggressive voice.
Sara lifted her head and saw the young man staring at her, "you bastard! How dare you tear my dress," Sara shouted and threw a slap at Aldophus.
Aldophus remained quiet as he watched the girl throw tantrums at him. For some reasons he was lenient towards her and even after she slapped him.
Sara hit him on his chest again and Aldophus grabbed her both hands before glaring at the naughty girl.
"Who gave you the locket pup? " Aldophus asked gently.
"I'm not a pup! Certainly, I can't tell you who gave me the locket." Sara answered.
Aldophus stared at Sara for what seemed like minutes and Sara looked away.
Sara pouted her full lips and wiped off the small tears on face before turning to look in the other direction which was probably a bare wall. For some reasons unknown to her, she kept having a feeling of being familiar with this person."Aren't you going to speak, I could send you to the garbage inn you were brought from if you don't answer my question." Aldophus threatened her with all the hostility he could muster. He was always cool and gentle but that doesn't mean he's feeble."Who are you to go against the Alpha's order? You can't send me anywhere without the Alpha knowing about it," Sara replied with a sneer." Maybe sending you to the meadow would be a good idea," Aldophus replied and pushed her towards the window. His eyes held amusement and authority at the same time.If Alpha Calhoun hadn't come to meet her at the entrance she would've thought Aldophus was the alpha. Beguiling and domineering like a Lord."Wait...I don't understand, are you going to throw me out of the windo
"Once." He replied and leaned back to keep the space between them. He saw the amusement and surprise in her eyes and smiled a little."How old are you?" Sara asked in curiosity. If he knew her mother then and was still the same now, he must be older than her.Aldophus flicked her head playfully, "I'm older than your mother, to me a nineteen years old girl is just a pup."Sara lifted her eyebrow in a mocking expression. Werewolves live longer than any other mythical creatures next came the vampires. Pure blooded werewolves were known to be stronger and aged longer than ordinary werewolves. It didn't come as a surprise to Sara that he was older than her mother, in the human realm, he would look like those in their twenties and his handsomeness was beyond description. No wonder the alpha's daughter was as protective as a mother hen."Well... Ahem... What should I call you then?" She asked."Aldophus will do," he replied and smoothen her hair. "It must be hard for you growing up alone wi
The next morning Sara went to the kitchen where she met the butler. He wasn't friendly as his characteristics portrayed him to be. Sara felt the world would come to an end as he taught her how to act in the presence of people. What made Sara more taken aback that is the fact that if any man want to have sexual pleasure with a maidservant, they were in no position to disagree.Sara made mental note of all he said and was taken to the slave quarters. She was introduced to other maidservants.Aldophus had gone to Sara's room and couldn't find her, he asked the guards that were stationed there and discovered she went to the kitchen. On his way to the kitchen, he was taken aback when he saw Sara sneaking into her room. She had no idea he had been there before her. He returned to her room and got inside without her knowing.Sara was packing the few things she brought when Aldophus' voice made her jolt in shock."What are you doing Sara?" Sara blinked at him innocently and bit her inner che
"Hey! Wait for me, it's steep here so I can't run," Sara shouted and tried to increase her pace on the steep ground that went upward into the sky. She watched large grey wolves run fiercely upward to the top of the mountain while she ran on her feet. Aldophus decided to punish her by running on foot to the top of the mountain while carrying their training materials."I'm going to sit here until someone comes to get me," Sara was tired after walking to the middle of the mountain. A cold thing touched her hand and she turned to see a large white wolf with black eyes staring at her."Alright alright I'll walk," said Sara and she starts walking while Aldophus trot behind her.The questions Sara was dying to ask suddenly popped inside her head and she let it out, "what type of werewolves are you, I mean all of you including Lane? "Fitting the large bag to her shoulder that had dropped to her hand Sara waited for his answer and kept walking. Then it dawned on her that Aldophus was in his
"Now go inside and do me and Aldophus a favor," Lane said in order to convince Sara to stay in her room. He had seen his friend's affection for the girl and could tell Sara was comfortable with him.Sara stepped backward and took a glance at all the guards stationed in Aldophus quarter. "Can you take me to see him?" She wanted to see him."I can't do that Sara, you don't know Alpha Calhoun....""The alpha doesn't know me... and certainly can't judge me. Where's he? We've been on the mountain. How could he sneak without me knowing? " Sara shouted.Lane suddenly pulled her behind him when he saw Alpha Calhoun walking towards them in regal steps. Sara felt cold shivers run down her spine as the alpha stared intensely into her eyes."I'm here. I'll give you thirty minutes to have some time with him after then visit me in my quarter." Alpha Calhoun said and walked away.Sara glanced at Lane and rushed towards another direction."It's this way." Lane said, pulling her attention from the wro
"Five days? I thought I fell unconscious a few minutes ago." Sara said and leaned on his body. Her muscles felt weak and tired. "I'm hungry." She uttered quietly.Aldophus was about to climb down from the bed when the Alpha walked in. His domineering and prideful aura filled the room making Sara pressed herself against Aldophus impulsively."I've ordered the maids to bring in your meal. First you'll tell me what you saw," he said with authority. His eyes staring deep into hers and Sara felt he could see through her heart.Aldophus took a glance at Sara who was beside him with a confused look, his eyes were asking her what the alpha met by that.Sara stared daggers at the Alpha for sometime before replying, "I fell unconscious for five days but I saw nothing."Aldophus knew what the Alpha asked was true because he was the one who sent for the healers. Healers were magical creatures who wore black veils and hats. It was rare to find a healer except someone of high position. "Sara, the
Sara looked away in embarrassment and warm red shades crawled in her skin up to her scalp. She didn't expect that from both of them. She felt her skin burn bright red and thank the goddess it was night.Lane also blushed heavily and he quickly left the tent. As for Aldophus he was the still expression man and his action didn't change. Though he was upset by Lane's intrusion when he was about to have a precious time in his life."I should go to my tent." Sara said hurriedly and scurried away from there.Few minutes later, Lane walked into the tent with pleading eyes, he scratched the back of his neck nervously and said, "I didn't mean to intrude, you know instinct.""And you did intrude on Lane, she's embarrassed and would take time for her to return back to normal." Aldophus replied with nonchalance and raised his head to look at his clumsy right hand man. "Raphael would do a better job sniffing than you to smell the different scent Lane," to Aldophus Lane was a pup unlike Raphael wh
The eyeless man walked towards her and Sara shouted even louder than before. She missed her footing and fell backward to be caught by strong arms.Glaring at the man with no eyes Aldophus ran his claws on the man's neck sending his head flying to another direction.Sara breathed in relief and embraced Aldophus tightly. Who would've thought that the man in her vision could be so scary."Alright there?" Aldophus asked and raised her head to look at him. She was still shaking all over and saw the fear in her eyes. Aldophus and his men were ahead and knew Sara was behind them. When they got into another street, Sara was nowhere to be seen. Sighting a shadow, Aldophus asked his men to go on while he came back to search for the shadow.Walking passed a small house, he saw something move inside. He had come to Grooveshire town knowing there must be a little evidence. He opened the small door and saw the house wasn't big. It was a storehouse which was now empty. Aldophus doesn't need a lig
