“Bunny, you need to calm down, okay?”

Declan scooped Selene up from the floor and noticed thankfully that there was no scratch on her body.

“You don’t need to beat yourself over this, Bunny.

You are going to beat this thing, okay? Just take it easy with yourself.

You can leave Chloe to me.”

Declan coaxed as he climbed the stairs with her in his arms, snuggling closer and closer as if she wanted to become one with him. “That was so embarrassing.” Selene sobbed quietly. Then she asked, “Is she truly your daughter? Like, you gave birth to her?”

Declan pretended not to have heard the question, as he could tell she was trying very hard to be in her right senses. However, once the effects of the drug kicked in, the only remedy would be to get laid. No one had ever succeeded in ignoring its effects till now.
