Alicia felt like her legs couldn't hold her up anymore, the interaction with Tristan had completely drained her to a point she had no more will power and she doubted herself now .

“ I'm fine, ” she responded. It was barely a whisper . “ You don't like fine , I heard what he said to you and just know they're all lies and he just said those things to get to you and dampen your spirit”.

“ I should thank you for standing up for me , he would have kept going if not for you . I'm really grateful ” before Alicia could sit on the ground from the exhaustion she felt Dylan catch her up in his arms .

He carried her in his arms bridal style “ you don't have to thank me for anything , I'll do all I can to protect you from such abuse ”. Alicia nodded her throat too tight with emotion and gratitude.

“ Do you mind if I take you to my apartment , you don't look like you need to be alone right now . Especially with what just happened ” Alicia noded her head in agreement . He turned towards his apartmen
