Chapter 9 When the Bud Sprouted

‘Gotcha. Come out now and meet me.’

Iris hit the send button as her grip on the steering wheel tightened. Aside from feeling euphoric that she has confirmed the killer’s identity to William, her hands are itching for some action. She wants to hear the cries and pleas of the killer when it begs for her mercy. Three of their assassins were killed, and their deaths are a great loss for the gang—well, except for Roxanne’s, Iris thought. She hated the guts of that woman.

If only I could kill you with my own hands, I would snap your body into two!

Her teeth gritted in both fury and excitement. She drove her way back to the station, beating the red lights of the road letting her police sirens wailing above her car be her pass. She smirked in satisfaction.

She stepped out of the car when her phone beeped inside her pocket.
