Meeting Mrs White

Do you ever wake up on a faithful morning and feel the weight of everything terrible descended on you? It was the weekend, which meant I could laze around and sleep for as long as I wanted. Sadly, it wasn't working out the way I wanted to.

My head ached, and so did every bone in my body. I had refused to open my eyes since I woke up. It was just another day to repeat the same schedule over and over. There was nothing new to look forward to.

I turned to the other side and sunk deeper into the blankets. I don't like what it feels like to always wake up with a heavy heart and that ache that almost never goes away. Even the sleeping position had gotten so uncomfortable that I had to sit up and take a deep breath.

I awoke to the soft morning light filtering through my bedroom curtains. "You're doing well, Evangeline." I assured. "You're doing incredibly well."

Maybe I was doing well. I hadn't spoken to Axel or responded to any of his endless messages. I hadn't responded to Ash
