So flirtatious

COLLIN POV

I slept like hell last night knowing Saige was just below me in the guest room. I promised I'd show her that she was better than she thought she was, but all I could think about were her lips and how she tasted. It was a struggle not to go downstairs to see her, knowing she was willing; but I was not that guy.

And that was the exact reason why I called the guy standing at my front door right now. He's the guy I know who can show Saige she was worth more than a one-night stand. Women loved him and he loved them. It was really a win-win.

I whipped the door open and came face to face with my cousin, Finn. He took a flight out here the second I called him like he always did.

"Bro, what's up?!" He stepped in and embraced me in a giant bear hug. We laughed and smacked each other's backs.

"Damn, it's good to see you!" I replied with a grin. "Come on in, man!”

We headed straight for the kitchen, hoping to keep the noise level down and not wake Saige. I needed to explain a few things to Finn first before they met.

"So, what's the emergency?" Finn asked, plopping a few grapes into his mouth as he sat down at the kitchen island.

I laughed. "I never said it was an emergency."

"You don't call me at almost midnight for my help if it's not an emergency," he pointed out.

"There's a girl I have staying with me for the moment. She's had a tough life," I said softly, looking off toward the long hallway that leads to the guest room, but there was no sign of her yet. "She's another Tiffany."

Finn whistled out, leaning back in his chair to stare at me. "As serious as Tiffany?"

I shook my head. "Worse, I'm afraid. She thinks she's worthless, man. I don't know how else to show her that she's not without your help."

He laughed. "You know I can help. But, does she know what I do?"

"Fuck no," I rasped out. "She'd probably kill me if she knew what we were planning right now." Finn and I have been as close as brothers since we were kids. We knew early on what his skills were. Girls flocked to him and he always treated them like princesses. I've seen this guy turn any tormented girl into the woman she actually was, just by befriending them.

Finn shook his head. "She's going to be pissed, huh?"

"Dude, she'd probably cut my balls off."

"I'd love to meet her." Finn grinned, not knowing what he was getting himself into.

And just like that, I saw her walking out of the guest room and heading right for us. Damn, she was beautiful. Her long dark brunette hair swayed when she walked and it had a perfect curl at the ends. I wanted to bury my hand in her hair, pull her head back, and kiss her deeply. But that was not going to happen. I was going to help show her what her worth was and then set her free, as much as that was going to suck for me. I just had to keep reminding myself that she was a student at the school I work for. She was off-limits to me.

"Good morning," I greeted.

When she looked up at me, I swear I saw a blush creep into her cheeks. But when she stepped into the kitchen and saw that we weren't alone, she looked surprised.

"Oh, I didn't know we had company," she purred out, batting her eyes at Finn.. And this is exactly why I brought him in. She can't keep doing this to every guy she meets.

"This must be the beautiful Saige," Finn replied with a grin as he stood up and offered his seat to her. See? A real gentleman.

Her cheeks blushed again as she took his spot, looking back at him with confusion on her features.

"This is my cousin Finn," I finally said, nodding toward Finn standing next to her.

He reached his hand out to her. "It's nice to meet you. This dickwad has told me all about you."

Her eyes reached mine as she glared at me. Was she afraid of what I had said to him? Because I honestly hadn't said a word until then. This was just Finn's way of getting into her shell.

"I hope it was all good things," she replied, turning her eyes back to Finn and eyeing him up appreciatively. My cousin was a good looking son of a bitch and the way she was looking at him right now was making me jealous as hell. Maybe this wasn't a good idea. I didn't think I could stand there and watch that.

I spun and started making coffee, trying to keep my hands busy.

"So, Finn, what brings you into town?" Saige asked and I cringed, hating how her tone was so flirtatious. Is this how she sounds when she talks to me?

"I missed my asshole-of-a-cousin over there. I swing into town when I can." I heard a kissing sound and knew he probably just kissed the top of her hand. Asswipe. "But now I'm really glad I came into town early." Saige's giggle sent the hairs on the back of my neck to rise and I gripped the handle of the coffee pot until my knuckles were white.

"What do you say you skip school today and hang out with me? That dick over there said he has to go to work and I'm bored."

Is he serious right now?!

I spun to say something but Saige spoke before I could.

"Let me get freshened up and we can go." She slid from the barstool and sauntered down the hallway, not looking at me once.

Jealousy swam through my veins and I hated that I couldn't control it.

Once she was out of earshot, I glared at Finn. "What the hell was that?!" He laughed. "I need to get to know the girl. I don't think one missed day of school is going to affect her. Besides," he plopped another grape into his mouth before he grinned over at me, "You're the one who called me, remember?"

I ground my teeth together. "How can I forget?"

Finn stepped up to me and took the coffee pot from my hand. "Why so tense, Brother?"

"You're still gay, right?"

Finn chuckled, shaking his head. "I mean, I can't exactly turn it off, Collin. The last time I checked, I still like men. But I won't lie and say Saige isn't gorgeous. How the hell hasn't she wrapped you around her finger yet?"

"I'm not sure she hasn't..."

Finn grabbed a banana and nudged my arm before he started walking away. "By the way," he called out, "you have a fucking unicorn on your face!" I heard him laugh.
