CHAPTER 5

The joy and happiness cannot be removed from the faces of the normal citizens of the Northern Pack. Their fair and beautiful skins sparkled even more because of their smiles.

The Beta Warrior Selection only takes place every three years, which is why many are excited to witness it. In addition to that, there are various alphas who come to watch the match. This is also their chance to get an alpha who has a high position in another pack.

Because of that, beta females as well as omegas, whether male or female, are really prepared. Except for Cathy, who doesn't even have a good opinion of alphas outside of their pack.

For her, these are just arrogant people. They are even different from her brothers, and she has already been witnessed as an alpha bragging about himself.

Because she is a woman and an omega, Cathy was not allowed to sit outside the audience. She was in the part where she was hiding. Even if she feels bad about it, she knows what her family means here.

If she comes out and lets everyone know she's an omega, many alphas will try to befriend her or have sex with her.

Cathy was terrified. She hugged herself and caressed her arms.

She groaned. She couldn't understand why many people try to do that when they find out that she has a strong inner wolf; their reaction will definitely not be good.

The alpha that Cathy needs is not only those who want to benefit from the strength and influence that her family has but also the acceptance of her inner wolf. An omega with a strong and dominant inner wolf is hated by normal alphas. Apart from the dominant alphas, no one could take Cathy any more. That's it; the dominant alphas in the entire empire can be counted on fingers in hand and toes.

Cathy sighed and waved her hand, causing a beta female to approach.

"Yes, Miss?"

"Vin, it's past the appointed time; why hasn't it started yet?" This is a strange question.

The beta female named Vin bowed. "A beta who passed by said that the prince of the empire will come and watch. I think that's the reason why Master Dominic isn't in their seats yet."

Cathy looked at her family's chair. Even if they didn't want to hide her, it still couldn't be avoided because, as far as she knew, five of the dominant alphas were going to watch, and she understood that.

"Miss, are you still going to wait?" Vin asked, obviously worried about Cathy's mood.

Everyone knows that even though Cathy is kind, her patience is not long, especially when it comes to things like this.

Cathy shook her head. "No need," she said.

Cathy stood up and walked to the room where it was prepared for her whenever there was an occasion like this. People in the north have a lot of respect when it comes to omegas because you can count on the fingers of their hands how many omegas there are in the north. Because of that, they really give importance to omega-3 fatty acids. Even so, even though the people in the North thought highly of them, they were still not proud. It can definitely be said that people in the North are different when it comes to omega.

"The other omegas—are they in their room yet?" Cathy turned around. "Can I visit them?"

Vin nodded. "You can, Miss Cathy. Is it now?"

Cathy thought for a moment and then nodded. "Is it possible? Isn't there an alpha going to visit them today?"

Vin shook her head then replied, "Other outsider alphas can only see the omegas when the selection is over. However, if they are with the Duke and Duchess, they could. Right now they are in the room waiting."

Cathy's smile widened, and her eyes shone. Because there are only five omegas in the entire North Pack, they are really close to each other, and those omegas also know the difference between them and Cathy.

"Great! I want to see them first. I'm bored here," she said, and then walked out of the room.

"Just wait, Miss." Cathy stopped. "I'll take a look first, okay? I'm sure it's better. Even though there's a high chance that security is tight in the omegas' room, it can't be denied that sometimes there are people who get through."

Cathy thought. What Vin said was true because, during the last warrior selection for alphas, omegas like them were only in the same room. There is an alpha outsider with bad intentions who sneaks into their room, causing the four of them to go home early. Now, security has been tightened even more to prevent this from happening again.

"Okay," Cathy answered, and then she waved her hand. "Let Ole in to take your place here first."

"Yes, Miss." Vin bowed and then left.

Moments later, a beta female came in, smiling, and immediately greeted Cathy. "Good morning, Miss Cathy."

Cathy just smiled at him. Unlike Vin, Ole has ambition in life. If she hadn't caught this girl, her brothers would surely have fallen into the trap. Because of that, she really keeps her eyes on her.

"Ole, you probably don't plan to plant anything bad today, do you?"

Ole is not a bad person; Cathy knows that, but because of what she did before, her view of Ole has not changed.

Ole lowered his head in shame. "Yes, Miss Cathy."

Ole regrets that Cathy lost her trust in her, but she also cannot deny that it was her fault that what happened made Cathy lose her trust in her.

Ole was about to speak when someone knocked, and when it opened, they immediately saw Vin.

"Miss, it's okay. Everything is ready for you to go to the Omegas' room."

The three of them went out. Cathy was in front, and behind her were Vin and Ole, who were gentle but alert to their surroundings.

Vin and Ole were almost relieved when they reached the room of the omegas without anything happening. That means that Cathy's family really prepared everything.

When Cathy got inside the room, the four omegas rushed at the same time.

Two female and two male omegas

"Cathy!" they said in unison.

They approached and immediately spoke to Cathy.

"Why do you have to be separated from us?" said Rudy, one of the male omegas.

"Why is that? We were informed at the last minute," added Olivia, a female omega.

Marie, the omega girl, asked next, "Are you okay?"

Because of their questions one after the other, Cathy was unable to answer. Fortunately, Marc, the other male omega, stopped them.

"How can Cathy answer you if you don't give her a chance to answer? You ask a question, and then you get angry because she didn't answer. Why can't you just shut your mouth first so you can answer?"

Rudy, Olivia, and Mari automatically closed their mouths when Marc spoke. They didn't think he would speak because they knew he was in a bad mood.

Fortunately, the three immediately calmed down because of Marc's speech. Cathy didn't know whether to laugh or not because of the reactions of the three.

Cathy then slowly explained to them the reason why she was not with them in the same room.

"So, are you saying that because you're a dominant omega and you're on par with average alphas, you won't meet them? Did I understand correctly?" Marc asked.

Cathy slowly nodded. "Yeah."

They stopped talking. "Excuse me, Miss Cathy, you have to go back to your room. The schedule has changed. A beta came here and said that the outsider alphas would come here first to check on the omegas."

Cathy sighed, stood up, waved to her omega friends, and then left.

On the other hand, when Cathy left, the four alphas from different packs arrived with the lone prince. Leading them is Dominic, and next to him is the prince of the empire and his wife, Alice. In the background are the popular alphas in the South Pack, East Pack, and West Pack. At the very back were Cathy's brothers, Jude, Ralf, and Shou.

"Duke of the North, Duke Dominic, do you think any of us will become mate with the omegas of your Northern Pack?" asked Eastern Alpha's representative, Vellum.

"Hmm," Duke Dominic uttered, looking at his wife Alice. "Honey, what do you think?"

"If one of you has a fated mate with one of our omegas, we won't mind if you want to get them. But, on one condition, no matter what happens, you can never hurt them."

"Did you hear that, Caisen?" Shou teases the Western Pack representative, Caisen.

Caisen nodded. "Is that how you think of me?" he asked, full of pride in himself.

Shou shrugged, looking at his two brothers. "I'm telling you, Caisen, one of the things our omegas don't like is that kind of attitude, the arrogance."

Caisen looked at Jude and Ralf to see if Shou was telling the truth. When he saw that his two brothers nodded, he cleared his throat and didn't speak any more.

They are currently traveling to find their mate. As the dominants in their packs, they were made representatives. Since the Northern Pack would be the first to have their beta warrior selection, this is where they thought to go first.

"You're Omega Five in this pack, aren't you?" asked the Prince of the Empire, Prince Hubert.

Duke Dominic uttered an "En." Then he smiled. "But the only ones I will introduce to you are four. The fifth is my daughter, so I cannot introduce her to any of you. You know the process of the nobles, don't you?"

Prince Hubert just nodded. He knew that Duke Dominic had a daughter, but he didn't think that she was also an omega. He would like to meet her and see if she is his fated mate, but he can't because she hasn't set foot in the palace yet.

Omegas who are born noble have a rule. If they have never set foot in the palace, they cannot be introduced in this way. Unless they enter the W Academy, they will be given the opportunity to use their family's position.

When Caisen heard this, he stopped. His sign was that he had a friend who was the brother of the three alphas next to him now. All he knew was that they were separated for unknown reasons.

"Don't get your hopes up; you won't see our sister," Shou softly whispered to Caisen.

Caisen didn't speak any more because he knew that this was not his territory and that the way of this place was different from the way of the place where he lived.

Even so, he still wanted to see and talk to the girl who had been his childhood friend again.

They knocked on a door with not just one or two but four guards. Four beta guards with powerful inner wolves guard it.

"Your warriors are truly different, Duke Dominic," Prince Hubert praised when he saw the beautiful bodies and felt their strong inner wolves.

Duke Dominic smiled, bowed, and said, "Thank you very much for your compliment, Prince Hubert." He stood up properly, and immediately the nearest guard knocked on the door.

When the door opened, the omegas who were sitting with Duke Dominic immediately appeared. Their gentle demeanor, gentle face, and graceful posture immediately made a strong impression on the alphas.

As everyone knows, the people within the Northern Pack have strong and unique looks. But they didn't think that, despite those rumors, the omegas in front of them were the most beautiful omegas they had ever seen.

Due to the cold climate of the Northern Pack, they are also thought to be violent in appearance, and the result of the climate is noticeable. But no, the face of the omegas in front of them was more tempting than the omegas elsewhere.

Comparing these four omegas to the Capital Omegas, they are arguably better looking.

"Wow," said the Eastern Pack representative softly.

Marc immediately sat down in his seat; his breathing sped up, his face turned red, and he clutched his chest. His gaze is only on one person, the Alpha, who is the representative of the Eastern Pack.

Meanwhile, the Alpha of the Eastern Pack was just looking at Marc; his gaze couldn't be taken away from the Omega, and like Marc's breathing, it was also strong and fast.

When Alice saw the situation, she immediately dismissed the representative of the Eastern Pack, Vellum, and helped Marc.

They never thought their omega would find their mate this way; they had hoped, but not this fast.

"Compatibility is great; we need to put them together in the same room." Alice looked over when the Western Pack representative, Wade, spoke.

"Are you mad? They don't know each other. Although they are fated, they don't know each other. We aren't fans of those," Alice said emphatically.

Marc is given an inhibitor, and then a beta takes him to a room. Dominic also gave an inhibitor to another alpha to provide an inhibitor for Vellum. Alice won't let Vellum and Marc be in the same place today because they haven't talked about the things they should talk about. If the lust between the two comes first, it will definitely not turn out well.

Something bad happened, and the introduction to Rudy, Marie, and Olivia continued. Unlike Marc, there was no reaction from them, so everyone was calm, and the Beta Warrior Selection began after the introduction of the three remaining representatives.

They wonder why the representative of the Eastern Pack is not there, but apart from the omegas, Cathy's family, and the representatives, no one knows what happened.
